🎉 It’s official – what an incredible milestone for the creative industries! 🎉

Starting in 2026, Denmark will introduce production discounts, with the government committing 125 million DKK annually to support the initiative. This is a massive win for the creative sector – especially the animation industry, which has been fighting for this for more than 20 years.

Here at Arsenalet, we’re beyond thrilled!

This achievement is the result of relentless efforts from the industry and broad political support from the government, Minister of Culture Jakob Engel-Schmidt, and many other dedicated allies both inside and outside Christiansborg.

This is nothing short of a game-changer – not just for animation, but for all creative businesses in Denmark. We’re heading into some truly exciting years ahead, and we can’t wait to see how this will elevate the industry to new heights.

Det er svært at få armene ned. Det er noget vi i animationsbranchen har arbejdet for i over 20 år.

Vi siger tusind tak til både regeringen, Kulturminister Jakob Engel-Schmidt samt alle de andre store støtter både i og udenfor regeringen.

Der har det sidste par år været stor opbakning og lydhørhed meget bredt på Christiansborg, og vi takker alle for deres tid og opmærksomhed på problemstillingen.

Det kan ikke undervurderes hvor vigtigt det er for specielt animationsbranchen, som har lidt unødigt hårdt under de skævvredne konkurrenceforhold.

We have launched a new residency at PLASTIC!

The Viborg UNESCO Creative City Artist Residency Program hosted by PLASTIC Collective in collaboration with The Animation Workshop – VIA University College (TAW) invites artists to develop prototypes for digital art projects for publicly accessible spaces in Viborg.

The residency includes accommodation, financial backing, travel assistance, consulting, dedicated workstation, and the potential support of VFX artists.
