The ACA has a New Certified Professional Guide. Congratulations to Jason ”Junior” Bernard of Dominica!!

Junior is physically powerful, with a seriousness that breeds confidence right away. A quiet and very observant man, he easily anticipated what would be needed as we moved through our work together. His solid canyoneering experience made transitions from one challenge to the next, come together seamlessly….from pre-rigging, pre-packing, pre-rinse of gear…this man was on it! He always finished the days just as strong as he began, which is quite significant, considering the tasks a EXDOM Pro Guide performs. Technically, Junior breezed through the rescue skills and the other challenges we produced, making it all seem like a natural part of his day. As our Guide, I observed that he consistently managed to “be there”, to mitigate physical obstacles, “spot" us as needed and point out unseen risks. There was a definite efficiency to his style that is easy to appreciate, but not easy to achieve as a Professional Guide. It was an excellent job done by “Juinior” and a privilege to witness this significant achievement. Good stuff ahead Mr Junior, welcome to the Community!!!!

After a long commute to the Island, Junior was there to great us at the shop. Without meeting another Team mate, his “presence” let us know that we were going to be working with people who are serious, professional and generous. All of which turned out to be 100% true.
