Meet Little Alegría: A Story of Resilience and Hope ❤️🐾

Alegría, which means "Joy" in Spanish, is a tiny ray of sunshine in need of a loving home. Her story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. After her beloved mom passed away, Alegría was heartlessly abandoned by her landlord and left to fend for herself on the streets. But her spirit wasn’t broken! Thanks to Puppy Palace, she was rescued and given a second chance at life.

Alegría is a little adventurer—at only 5 lbs, she managed to escape her cages more than once, finding herself in a bit of mischief! That’s when I stepped in to help this clever, sweet girl. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and absolutely bursting with love to give.

As much as I adore her, I have other little princesses at home, and it wouldn’t be fair to them to keep her. Alegría deserves her own castle, a place where she can finally settle and be showered with the love she truly deserves. 💕

14 days old, already showing signs of a strong character and Carisma....Paso Higueyano, I really love this breed. Tall, Muscular, calm, fabulous gate and beautiful markings, often, white or blue eyes.

Facts of the paso Higueyano - The introduction of the horse to the island of Hispaniola dates back to the second voyage of Christopher Columbus in 1493, in which the first 34 equine specimens, 24 horses and 10 mares, were embarked in Andalusia, Spain. After this, larger quantities of horses continued to arrive on subsequent voyages.

However, it was not until the founding of Central Romana in 1912 and the first North American invasion of the Dominican Republic in 1916 that specimens of the Quarter Horse, Morgan, Tennessee, Arabian, etc. breeds were introduced, which began the crossbreeding of the island
's Creole horses.

Over the years, a large part of the people of Higüey began to own large tracts of land dedicated to raising cattle and in addition to the great distances they had to travel to market their products, they found it necessary to create a strong, comfortable, tall and tame horse that would contribute to this livestock lifestyle. That is
why for several years they dedicated themselves to crossbreeding the various breeds brought to the island, thus achieving what is today the Higüeyano Paso Horse.

Did you know fractional ownership has become a good way to invest in real estate?

While the cost of purchasing a second home or vacation home is becoming out of reach for many people, fractional ownership is a good way to enjoy the benefits of a real estate investment at a lower cost because you're splitting the purchase and maintenance costs with other people.

What is fractional ownership?

Fractional ownership allows individuals to buy a share of a home. For instance, if a home is listed on the real estate market at $600,000, and six equal shares of the home are for sale, each share would sell at a price of $100,000.

Sometimes referred to as a “deeded trust,” fractional ownership gives each buyer the rights associated with owning property. This is comparable to a small-scale version of real estate crowdfunding, where a group of people shares the cost and benefit of owning a specific investment property.

Similar to how a traditional timeshare works, the owners share costs and access. Whereas a timeshare involves 25-50 people and limits access to one or two weeks a year, fractional ownership involves two to 12 owners with three to five weeks of access each year.

How fractional ownership works.....

With fractional ownership, each investor owns a portion (or fraction) of the property's title (or deed). As a fractional owner, you can make personal use of the property and earn income when it’s not used by other owners or rented out.

Typically, a specialized property management company oversees the property and manages the rental scheduling, maintenance and the accounting of the revenue and expenses. As a fractional owner, you schedule time through the management company when you want to use the home.

Over 10 years ago, I took my first dive into international real estate, armed only with my past experiences from Canada, including Ottawa and the stunning Mount Tremblant. 🇨🇦🍁

Though I thought this would all translate smoothly overseas, it was actually my bold optimism that pushed me forward. 🌍✨
