This resort tour of Sunscape Puerto Plata, was done on February 16th and just recently we’ve heard the very sad news, that it will be closing at the end of April 2024.😔

I still wanted to share my photos, as out of the 3 resorts we toured that day, this was my favorite. I’d only been in the lobby before and only saw the first pool and thought that was it. Little did I know, that further into the resort, there’s a huge, walk in pool, with water falls and swim up bar! The Sun Club areas you enter with your key card and one area had a large whirlpool bath and the other had a pool, each with its own bar and snack area. They only had one family suite in Sun Club available to show us, as the resort was full, which we were very happy about! The suite was very large and clean, with plenty of space for an extra bed and had everything you need. I would have definitely recommended Sun Club!

I was amazed at the buffet restaurant! I couldn’t believe they had 2 large fresh salmon, at lunch time and the speciality restaurants were beautiful inside too! There was a lot to do, not only relaxing in the pools and on the beach, but table games, pool and beach games and lots of activities. Even though the resort was full, nowhere was overcrowded and there were plenty of loungers around the pools and on the beach.

This was a fantastic resort, all the staff were amazing, our tour was very thorough and our thanks go to Leonor, for taking the time to show us around. We wish you all the very best! 🙏🤝🇩🇴
