1 year ago today my life changed forever. I was lucky in life to have friends and family that looked after me and also gave me the grace and compassion I needed. I miss Paul every single day. i miss how amused he was at how I went through life, I miss just a call or check in just to let him know I’ve had a good day. I miss his humor, kindness, and love. Babe, you were the best part of 20 years of my life, and I miss you. ❤️Always

Chef Jody brought the heat today with her culinary competition entry!

Appetizer was a fried goat cheese topped with homemade hot pepper jelly over home grown arugula with a homemade 3 pepper hot honey vinaigrette, candied walnuts and pomegranate seeds.

Dessert was a Spicy Mango Mojito Sorbet with a lime sugar cookie and candied lime.

And that’s a wrap!

We just finished our last charter of the season and our last ever charter on Black Tortuga. After 38 charters, we made tons of friends and new family, almost 800 meals, almost 300 times dropping the hook, and endless amounts of smiles and laughter.

Even though we will both be doing different things next season, we will always have our love and respect for each other, and true friendship.
