UPDATE ON ECUADOR’S SITUATION

Dear friends
I hope this message finds you well. Given the changing circumstances in Ecuador, the Ministry of Tourism and er at Galapagos Best are committed to keeping you updated on the latest developments affecting our tourism sector and general security.

Highlights:

● The implementation of Executive Orders 110 and 111 has significantly improved the ability of our security forces to ensure the safety of both citizens and visitors.
● A notable decrease in national security incidents has been observed since January 10, reflecting the effectiveness of recent operations.
● All tourist services operate normally and all transport infrastructure, including airports and roads, are fully functional with reinforced security measures.
I (Fausto) have been following up the international headlines which most of them are yellow and being sensationalist and making us look like almost like we are in a deep extreme situation.

We are operating our groups as normal with all the security measurements to ensure the well being of all our visitors. Arm forces and police have taking control of jails and the most important thing is that the President of Ecuador is leading the country with an excellent leadership.

Dear friends,
We inform you that we have been notified about the updated Resolution of the Consejo de Gobierno from Galapagos, that there is no restriction to enter to the Galapagos National Park. However, the Public Health Ministry is controlling any possible symptoms of the visitors at the Galapagos airports and ports.

Galapagos Best, always looking after the well being of our guests on board our ships and attentive to the recommendations of the World Health Organization regarding the Coronavirus, would like to let you know about the practices that we are currently executing in the sanity control of our expeditions aboard MC Adriana, M/Y Daphne, M/Y Bonita.

Actions on Board our Fleet
- Our crew has been instructed of the procedures and during the briefings they will inform about the guidelines on board.
- Be aware of any possible symptoms such as fever, cough or cold related with guests and crew onboard.
- Use of antibacterial gel when guest embark to the ship after the activities.
- Strengthen the frequent cleaning and disinfection of all cabins and communal environments of the ships.

Recommendations

- Carry on antibacterial gel and use it on regular basis
- Wash your hands frequently
- If you sneeze, use your upper sleeve or elbow to protect, NOT YOUR HANDS

Due to controls at Quito and Guayaquil airports,
we highly recommend the passengers to arrive to the airport
at least 2 hours prior the Galapagos flights.
