Así luce el cráter del volcán Cotopaxi después de su último período eruptivo, su cumbre ahora es más pequeña, el hielo se derritió por las temperaturas del volcán, ya no entran tantos andinistas como antes, lo que era una rampa linda de hielo hacia la cumbre ahora tiene puro hielo negro y lodo congelado, lo cual resulta medio feo pisar con crampón.
Pero sin duda volver desde el 2019 es todo un gusto así sea que toque subir con mascarilla para filtrar los gases del volcán.
