As direct operators, Andeanface specialises in mountaineering & trekking in Ecuador. We also provide logistic support for expeditions in Ecuador. And we co-ordinate voluntary work programs in order to help the street children of our country. Our name refers not only to the mountain faces, but also to the faces of the children of the Andes. Andeanface combines two meaningful realities which are the driving forces of our lives: the mountains and the kids of the Andes.

We reached the summit of Cotopaxi and Chimborazo recently, bringing to end a successful expedition having reached the top of all peaks in our program. A massive thank you to our IFMGA guide Abraham for helping us provide this safe and beautiful experience!
After being closed for 1.5 years we have the good news to share that Cotopaxi is open again for mountaineering!! The Volcanic activity is back to normal

We hiked up to Pasochoa 4200m/13,776 ft today!
We had a great start to our volcanoes expedition!
In the last photo you can see a Curiquinge! (Andean Bird that is very intersted in the food climbers bring along 😂)
We should not feed wild animals because it makes them dependant on humans and alters the cycle of each ecosystem!
Tomorrow we will climb Guagua Pichincha in order to aclimatize better!

Cotopaxi 5897m / 19,347 is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. We climb this mountain not only because of it being hard and challenging but because we can observe many more andean mountains from the summit.
Cotopaxi is a mountain that is not technical and it does not require previous mountaineering experience.
Only previous acclimatization (Climbing smaller peaks in order to get adapted to the altitude) which we offer in our Cotopaxi Trek and Climb.
