🌴 The Origin of Villa Cade: A Tribute to Ayampe’s Nature 🌴
Our name, , is no coincidence. It’s inspired by the majestic Phytelephas aequatorialis, commonly known as ‘tagua’ or ivory palm and locally called ‘cade’, which is unique to our region. This species holds great cultural and ecological significance in Ayampe. 🌿
The ‘cade’ is not only a symbol of Ayampe’s rich biodiversity, but its leaves are ancestrally used to thatch roofs, providing natural shelter in harmony with the environment. Its fruit, the tagua, was historically used to make buttons and is now crafted into beautiful souvenirs, continuing to play a vital role in the local culture.
This deep connection with the surrounding nature inspired us to adopt its name for our villa, as a tribute to this iconic element of the local landscape.
When you stay at Villa Cade, you’ll experience a true piece of Ayampe, where nature and comfort come together in perfect harmony. 🌺
Come and discover why the cade is so special, and enjoy an unforgettable experience in the natural beauty that defines our villa.
