In 1993, Hernando Velasquez & Lupe Delgado decided to embark on a new venture, founding a Tour Operator with the purpose of showcasing Ecuador's beautiful nature in the Amazon basin. In 2004, under the helm of Esteban Velasquez, Via Natura became a Destination Management Company growing into one of the most important DMCs in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, crafting memorable journeys for discerning travellers. Today, 30 years later, under the joint leadership of Esteban and his wife Gabriela Soro, Via Natura remains loyal to the belief that bespoke experiences run by family owned enterprises are the key to preserving our beautiful ecosystem and the wellbeing of our communities.
