SEVEN DAYS IN VILCABAMBA - DAY ONE
Are you looking for something COOL to do in Vilcabamba?? Check out the "city pool". With a rushing waterslide (kid tested and approved), and three pools, you'll have plenty of room to cool off.
After the pool, wander straight up the hill and have lunch at La Casa de los Jones Restaurante. This is southern food done right - with the best smashburger in (probably) all of Ecuador and fried potatoes that will make your mouth water.
Now that your belly is full - return to the park, pay the separate fee for the zoo....and go visit our monkeys!!

Did you KNOW??? We've got a Zoo in Vilcabamba - at the recreational park in Yambura Bajo. Walking distance from central Vilcabamba along the river trail - or a quick taxi ride.
With puma, ocelot, capuchins and many more - it's a great way to spend an hour with animals.
BONUS IDEAS - before you go - grab an amazing Southern Food lunch at La Casa de los Jones Restaurante just up the hill from the park area (their Smashburger is to die for!!!) and then after you leave the park - you'll see a fruit stand across the parking lot. You NEED a glass of fresh mandarin juice in your life - trust us!!
