The pronotum or helmet of some treehoppers can be detached in case a predator try to hunt them, like in this Anchistrotus ap. , allowing them to scape. In the photo an adult is feeding on the sap of a plant.

Posted • Anolis scypheus, known as the yellow-tongued or dim anole, is a fairly common forest-dwelling lizard in the western Amazonian region. They’re fairly hard to spot against the leaf litter, but we saw four total during our four-day stay in Yasuní National Park. Like other anoles, they have really interesting and colorful dewlaps, sporting red and blue patterns in contrast to their cryptic appearance

🕷️🎃

Posted • A unidentified frog photographed in situ in the Yasuni National Park in Ecuador, one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. The Amazon is one of the most fascinating ecosystems to me personally - the sheer amount and diversity of life here is mind-blowing and a paradise for keen naturalists and photographers like myself.Any frog experts here that have a species suggestion? I tried identifying the individual but the frog world is too large for a newbie like me.

Taken near the wonderful .panga lodge.

Posted • One of my favorite beetles photographed, a leaf beetle belonging to the Cryptocephalinae tribe inside the huge family of the Chrysomelidae. Most probably is inside the Chlamisus genus.

The super tiny size (2-3mm) and the super metallic coloration , made me suffer a bit while I was photographing it.

Have you ever dreamed about a real jungle experience?

Around a bend of the Tiputini River lies a place full of charms and authenticity... Mandari Panga is a tourist project that began to write its history in 2014, with the goal of granting the community an improvement in education, employment, access to some basic services such as purified water and medical services.

It is worth the trip to this unique place in the world, where there are more than 600 species of birds, 173 species of mammals, some 60 snake species, and 100 amphibian species in an immense and diverse flora that will make you feel in another world. This trip will take you to find treasures of the biodiversity of the Yasuní National Park that few people have known until now.

So ask yourself... What are you waiting for? Because Mandari Panga is just waiting for you.
