Estonia is a country located in Northern Europe and is rich in pure nature and genuine people. This tiny country on the shores of the Baltic sea is going for the title of most organic country – plenty of fresh air, forests, land and sea. Estonian people are known for their smart, simple and scalable solutions. Everything is driven by passion and this has also played a big part in creation of Crafter’s London Dry Gin.
To create a truly remarkable gin, we searched Estonia for unique herbs. Veronica, picked at just the right time from Kubja Ürditalu, gives the gin a floral flavour, and fennel seeds add a spicy undertone. It results in an exceptional gin, which is perfect for cocktails, because it also lets other ingredients shine.
RECIPE NO. 23
Estonian grain and handpicked herbs from Kubja Ürditalu provide depth of flavour. Liviko’s master distillers’ long term experience, carefully selected herbs and the perfectly balanced recipe no. 23 add up to a unique gin experience.
POT STILL METHOD
In Liviko we began distilling herbal essences in the early 20th century. The same copper pot still from the last century is used today to produce Crafter’s London Dry Gin. Earlier generations of Liviko gin masters have passed on their skills and secrets, ensuring that our gin is truly exceptional.
A flowery gin that doesn't abide by any mindset.
The desire to create a truly extraordinary gin led us to ancient alchemy, which aimed to transform elements into something more. Alchemists greatest ambition was to create a Panacea - an elixir for life that would cure all diseases. We were inspired by a similar idea. It was clear from the start that copper was the right element to develop our gin with. Copper's alchemical value represented an array of colorful emotions that effortlessly fused with our 12 carefully selected aromatic botanicals.
This fearless experimentation eventually led us to a one-of-a-kind elixir that doesn't abide by any mindset. Crafter's Aromatic is not your classical gin but a vibrant mixture that lively communicates with you through sight, smell and taste. This is a handcrafted masterpiece.
A MAGICAL CHANGE OF COLORS
The rose hip flower extract contains a natural pigment that gives the gin a gold color. Thanks to rose hip flower, in a classic cocktail with tonic, the drink turns light pink!
RECIPE NO. 38: REFRESHINGLY AROMATIC AND FLOWERY
Recipe nr. 38 is a unique blend of 12 carefully selected aromatic botanicals. The elegant aroma of this gin, dominated by coastal Estonian rose hip flower and meadowsweet, is juicy, flowery, rounded, and complex.
The copper-distilled Crafter's Aromatic gin has a rich bouquet of flavors, and one can taste different sweet flowers: rose hip flower, meadowsweet, lavender, rose, camomille and elderflower. The gin's sweet flavor is offset by crisp juniper berries and the fresh taste of exotic yuzu.
CENTURY-OLD COPPER POT
This copper pot, affectionately called Mamma Ilse, has been used to distill aromatic botanicals for over a century, always ensuring a certain quality and well-known taste. The copper pot's appearance has also inspired the copper-adorned bottle for Crafter's Aromatic Gin.
ESTONIAN ARTISANAL GIN - A REAL MASTERPIECE
Our artisanal gin is the unique design of Liviko's beverage architect. This extraordinary drink required an extraordinary bottle, which was created by the KOOR design agency.
The bottle is inspired by the copper pot’s rose gold color as well as the texture of its abstract herbal tastes that melt harmoniously into a single, unique drink recipe. Jewelry designer Hans Kristian Mänd helped to shape this visual representation of the gin into a real work of art.
