If you've been to an Estonian market lately, you've probably seen chanterelles.

🍄🐓 Known as "kukeseen" in Estonian — or rooster mushroom due to their frilly shape, like the comb atop a rooster's head — these yellow mushrooms are typically cooked in a creamy sauce or soup.

Edible mushrooms abound in Estonian forests, but looks can be deceiving so it is recommended to go foraging with an expert.
