ZAK family history)
Zack's family history from Aswan, Egypt
It all started four generations ago with a Nubian man from a small village called Kobaniya, Aswan, Egypt. His name was Ayadi, he was the local ferry operator to the island and of course the Nile was in his blood. Ayadi built himself a small wooden boat, which was a sailing boat known in Egypt as a felucca. In those days when there w
ere hardly any tourists in Egypt, this didn't matter because Ayadi's job was to move the locals from village to village down the Nile or across the river to Aswan or goods to Cairo and Rashid
Ayadi had two wives and six children, three boys and three girls. Only two inherited the profession, Zack and Abdo
So now it's time for the third generation as the tourism in Egypt started to grow in Egypt and people from all over the world started coming to Aswan to see the ancient wonders of the world and the culture of the Nile and Nubia. Zack and Abdo decided it was time to change his business from a local ferry operator to a cruise boat for tourists. Tourists loved the idea of sailing across the Nile in a traditional dhow, what a peaceful way to see the beautiful scenery and amazing sites. THE WORK CAN They continue the wonderful family felucca tradition but add new and exciting aspects to the business. They have three wonderful motorboats of day trips around Aswan. They also have holiday homes for rent in the Nubian village, and they organize great tours to other parts of Egypt. Since this is now we can only imagine how this generation will grow and what history will say about them.
