The Glory of Nubia is an authentic Nubian sailing boat (felucca) on the Nile in Aswan, Upper Egypt. The boat is designed with attention to tradition and style in order to satisfy the needs of those seeking nothing but the best. Many people in Aswan call it Al-Qasr, which means the palace. A journey on the Glory of Nubia is like a mobile camping. Exotic Nubian food is prepared in front of the guest

s while the boat is sailing. In the evening guests are entertained by the crew with a drum show, songs and dance around a campfire on shore. At night guests sleep on the deck that is covered all around by heavy curtains to form a big tent. The Glory of Nubia cares for the environment. It's the first felucca on the Nile to be equipped with an environmentally friendy toilet (mounted on shore when the felucca is moored), and the latest technology in solar energy system. The Glory of Nubia Eco-Island lies in the heart of Aswan’s archipelago and is surrounded by natural setting and a panoramic view of the Nile and the golden sandy hills of Aswan. The island is located ten minutes by motorboat from the main land and is close to the Mausoleum of Agha Khan and the historic Monastery of St. There is abundance of activities that you can do during the day to fill your visit with memorable adventures. Activities such as camel trekking on Aswan’s hilltops at sunrise or sunset with a spectacular view of the archipelago, sightseeing of Aswan’s historic highlights, felucca sailing, sun bathing, visit to a traditional and colorful Nubian village, camel ride to the Monastery of St. Simeon, bird watching in the protected area or an afternoon tea at sunset in peace and quiet.
