The ancient Egyptians were very crafty when it came to cosmetics. they used red paint to stain their cheeks and henna to color their hands and fingernails. They also wore perfumes made from oils and cinnamon. Both men and women wore makeup as they believed it symbolize the protection of the gods Horus and Ra. They thought it had a healing power, which researchers proved lead-based cosmetics they used along the Nile actually helped in preventing eye infections.

Pharaoh Ramses III during the rule of the New Kingdom,When the workers were not paid as usual while working on the construction of Deir el-Medina 's royal necropolis, they organized one of the first documented strikes in history. The workers just entered mortuary temples nearby and refused to leave until their needs had been heard. After a while it actually worked and they got paid in full.

Do you love board games? apparently the Ancient Egyptians did too. Their way to relax after a hard day's work along the Nile River was by playing board games. The Egyptians had several games like “Mehen” and “Dogs and Jackals,” but perhaps the most popular was a game of chance known as “Senet”, where each player had a collection of pieces moving around the board according to dice rolls or the throwing sticks. Even pharaohs such as Tutankhamen and others buried boards game in their graves with them.

Egyptian women had a lot of independence from both legal and financial matters. They could interfere with legal contracts, sell and purchase property and make wills as well. They were just as equal as men when it came to salary. Also, Egyptian women had the right to divorce, remarry and negotiate an old prenuptial agreement; which listed all the property the woman had brought into the marriage in order to ensure that she would receive compensation in the event of a divorce.

The whole idea of the pyramids being built by slaves in nothing more than a myth, that was created by Greek historian Herodotus in the fifth century B.C, but most historians now dismiss this idea. The pyramids were built by workers who were a mix of skilled artisans and temporary hands. Although the ancient Egyptians definitely weren't against holding slaves, they seem to have used them mainly as hands on the field and servants at home.
