I am an English speaking tour guide and Egyptologist and I am the owner of Moustafa Egypt Tours. I love Egypt and can only tell you what is in my heart and share with you my love for this great land and its people. No matter how often you visit, there is always something new to see and discover. I don't know why this is, it's just the way things are in Egypt. As you drive through some of the busie

st streets of Cairo towards Giza, you are surrounded on all sides by honking, bumper-to-bumper traffic, then suddenly without warning you see the Pyramids right before your eyes and you not only know where you are, you feel it too. It is the contrast between the old and new and the ease with which Egyptians bridge the gap that I find most amazing. We offer tours all over Egypt ... we also offer tailor made tours for Egypt. Welcome to Egypt, or in Arabic.... Ahllan fi Misr

In Egypt you can dive on 9 different shipwrecks, namely the SS Thistlegorm (at Sharm El Sheikh) Rosalie Moller, Dunraven, Salem Express (at Safaga) and at Shaab Abu Nuhas you will find the wrecks of Ghiannis D., Carnatic, Chrisoula K. and Kimon M. lie next to each other on the reef like a chain.

From our own experience of our admin of this page, the SS Thistlegorm is the most beautiful and special wreck and an absolute must to dive on

The SS Thistlegorm is one of the most famous wrecks in the world. In the 1950s, the wreck was already noticed by local fishermen, but in 1958 Jacques Cousteau, together with National Geographic, first dived on the wreck of the SS Thistlegorm.

Built in 1940, the SS Thistlegorm was a 400-foot (126 m) British freighter loaded with war material for Alexandria during World War II that sank on 6 October 1941 after being bombed by two German bombers.

The wreck attracts many divers due to the amount of cargo that can be seen and explored. Boots and motorcycles are visible in hold No. 1. Trucks, armored vehicles, motorcycles, rubber boots, guns, wings, engine exhaust rings and cylinders are visible in hold No. 2. On the port side of the wreck near the explosion area is one of the steam locomotives that were stored as deck cargo and the other locomotive is on the starboard side with hold 2.

The maximum depth for this wreck dive is 33 meters.

From Sharm el Sheikh, El Gouna, Hurghada and Safaga there are regular wreck diving excursions organized by dive centers to the SS Thistlegorm.

The Times named the Thistlegorm as one of the top 10 wreck diving sites in the world.

The ancient Egyptian practiced mummification in the framework of his belief in life after death, eternal life without death after it, so the ancient Egyptian sought to take all necessary means to keep the body safe and untouched.

Since prehistoric times, the Egyptian was keen to bury the dead body in a squatting position the same position as the fetus in womb, believing that as he began his life as a fetus, he had to be buried in the same position to be resurrected in the other world.

That is why he took care of the cemetery, which began in the form of a hole that he developed over many years, then developed into a mastaba, a stepped mastaba, a pyramid, and finally into a rock-cut tomb.
