Happy Palm Sunday to all! 🌴Coptic Christians in Egypt (and all around the globe) were out and about yesterday celebrating this special time. Check out these talented vendors selling all sorts of woven palms near the churches. From crowns to crosses to hats to branches, the sky's the limit for these creative weavers! Green wheat is woven into "dolls" a very traditional Egyptian sign that spring is here! And let's be real, Palm Sunday isn't just for the kiddos- everyone's getting in on the fun before heading to mass. And this year, something super special is happening- Coptic Easter AND Muslim Eid al Fitr will be celebrated in the same week! 🎊🎉A rare and joyous time for the whole country!
