Art Cairo, previously known as the Egypt International Art Fair, will host its fourth edition at the Grand Egyptian Museum from February 10th to February 14th! Could you think of a better Valentine’s Day date?

Established in 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown, the art fair displayed the works of hundreds of Egyptian artists and dozens of renowned art galleries. This edition, however, will also include participation of galleries from across the Middle East and North Africa region in a celebration of contemporary Arab art.

Zahi Hawas confirmó el descubrimiento de unas 4 tumbas de 4300 años pasados, datas al imperio antiguo de unos altos funcionarios y sacerdotes quiénes sirvieron al faraón Unas el último rey de la quinta dinastia y el rey Pepi primero. El descubrimiento se trata de unas estatuas de piedra caliza, elementos funerarios, puertas falsas y un pozo de más de 15 metros de profundidad. Y la parte más llamativa ha sido encontrar una momia de un caballero cubierta con láminas de oro,
que se considera la momia completa más antigua de uno ciudadano que no sea real

Ekad Hawass, it indicates the existence of a huge cemetery with important tombs
The first of these tombs is the tomb of the so-called "Khnum FF", who worked as a staff inspector, supervisor of the nobles, and priest of the hierarchical group of King Unas, the last king of the Fifth Dynasty. The tomb is colorful and contains daily life.
The second tomb is called (Mary) and its owner holds many titles, such as Keeper of Secrets, and Assistant Commander of the Great Palace.

The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) it will be the largest archeological museum in the world .
Located next to the Giza Pyramids, the Museum will host over 100,000 artifacts that belong to the ancient Egyptian civilization.

The Museum will also be hosting permanent exhibition galleries, temporary exhibitions, special exhibitions, children museum and virtual and large format screens with a total floor area of 32,000 m².

A separate exhibition is dedicated to the solar boat, which is considered the oldest boat in the world. The conference center is inside the main complex, and holds an auditorium with 1,000 seats, 3 seminar rooms each of a capacity of 250 seats, gallery space, meeting rooms, a businessmen center, and press room. The largest part of the museum project is designed to host a variety of outdoor activities through an open-air space system comprised of the piazza, an open-air exhibition, Dunal Park, Nile Park, recreational park, temple garden and land of Egypt Park .
The one-of-a-kind Hanging Obelisk greets visitors as the first artefact standing at the entry way to the museum, which opens up into the vast Grand Hall, home of the 80-tonne Statue of Ramesses II. The thousands of exhibits include priceless artefacts such as all of the contents of King Tutankhamun’s treasure , which will be reunited in the Grand Egyptian Museum for the first time since the discovery of his tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

The Red Pyramid of Dahshur (built by Pharaoh Sneferu) is the largest pyramid in the Dahshur necropolis, while also being the third largest pyramid in Egypt. More importantly, from the architectural standpoint, the Red Pyramid might have been the first successful attempt by Egyptian engineers and workers to create a smooth-sided pyramid that went beyond just the visual impact. Some of these special white Tura limestone casings are still visible along the base of the large structure. The other interesting feature of the monument pertains to its shallow 43 degree built angle that endows the entire form with a squat appearance in spite of its impressive size. In fact, the base area of the structure accounts for 48,400 sq m – which is equivalent of almost 9 football fields.
