6th of October custom storage company is a stock company that was established in 1993 in the city of 6th of October with the Ministerial decision No. 31 of the year 1993. The company provides its customers a variety of services and benefits in the areas of customs storage and general storage through dry or refrigerated storage units. In order to develop and update the work of the company to meet t
he requirement of this new age as well as to promote its services, the company received ISO certificate 9001/2008 in the are of custom storage and general storage. The company provides its services and meets the clientsβ needs through three sectors:
The first sector is the 6th of October customs (Dry Port)
Being created on an area of about 50,400 meters squared, it provides our customers with the release of the letters received as well as completing the procedures to export merchandise easily through distinct customs committees who have extensive experience.
- Available at customs all types of storage (closed storage, open areas, and storage containers).
- The company has equipped its yard and warehouses with the latest equipments to receive and store containers, adapters, and general merchandise of all types that is non-exclusive of customs fees and taxes through the latest handling equipments owned by the company.
- The company published a publication from the customs department No. 49 of 2001 that gives the owners of the stored merchandise in the companyβs warehouses the right to segment their merchandise that is stored in the warehouse when it is being released inside the country and for the owner to pay the necessary fees only for the part that is being released without any fees for the merchandise stored inside the warehouse.
- The Minister of Finance and the Minister of commerce and manufacturers issued a decree No. 988 of 2005 that orders the establishment of a sub-unit for temporary allowance to for tax reimbursement and fees in the company.
- The Head of Central Administration issued a decision No. 10 of 2009 concerning the establishment of management sub-unit for temporary allowance and reimbursement of tax and fees.
- An administrative decision No. 370 of 2002 was issued from the Customs Department to allow the company to store cars through The Triptic system.
- A decision was issued for the company from the Customs Department that allows the company to store cars through the Final Importing System. The second sector is the general storage (outside the customs offices)
- General storage units have been allocated for general storing and they had been established on an area of about 243,600 metered squared; The company is considered on of the leading companies in this area in terms of total available space and the quality of storage areas and services. The company also offers to its customers all types of storage in this sector.
- (Closed-dry storage units β open areas) - The company offers its customers the security and protection needed through the latest networks of fire extinguishing systems, as well as trained industrial security personnel, and also through moving security cameras and by providing the IP CAM service (for following and watching the storage units via the internet).
- Total area of closed storage units is about 103,600 meters squared and the area of single units start from 300 meters squared β 10,000 metered squared. The units are built using the trusses storage system, which allows optimal use of the total area.
- Open areas with a total of 100,000 meters squared are suitable for storage of finished cars and all types of merchandise that are not affected by weather and erosion. The third sector is refrigerated storage units
- An area of about 40,000 meters square has been allocated for building the latest storage units for storing chilled and frozen merchandise; "Refrigerators" of different areas are divided into sections of 150 to 500 meters squared for each section.
