‼‼ Updated Covid-19 Entry Requirements for Egypt ‼‼
✅Fully Vaccinated Passengers
Egypt is open to fully vaccinated passengers and they are exempted from quarantine and presenting a negative COVID-19 test result. Check below in the COVID-19 Test section which passengers are considered fully vaccinated by Egypt.
Travelers must bring proof of vaccination – The certificate/document may be requested at different points of the trip.
⚠Other Passengers
Passengers are allowed to enter Egypt. Some passengers must comply with requirements related to quarantine, negative tests for COVID-19, forms and medical insurance, which are detailed in the sections shown below.
⚠Quarantine
➡️Fully vaccinated passengers
Fully vaccinated passengers are not required to undergo quarantine.
➡️Other Passengers
Non-vaccinated passengers are not required to undergo quarantine, unless they test positive for COVID-19 while in Egypt. In that case, they are required to quarantine for 14 days.
ℹIn addition, travelers arriving in Hurghada (HRG), Marsa Alam (RMF), Sharm El Sheikh (SSH) or Taba (TCP) without a PCR test are subject to be tested upon arrival and quarantined until the results are known.
⚠COVID-19 Test
✅Fully Vaccinated Passengers
Fully vaccinated passengers do not need proof of a pre-arrival negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test.
ℹPassengers must present proof of vaccination - The certificate/document may be requested at different points of the trip. They must present proof of vaccination that must comply with Egypt’s requirements.

*Janssen
*Moderna
*Pfizer-BioNTech
*Sinopharm
*Sinovac
*Sputnik V
📜Vaccination certificate:
🔹Vaccination certificates must be issued from a certified laboratory by the country of Origin at least 14 days before arrival
🔹Certificates must contain QR Code
🔹Keep in mind: Certificate with any Scraps will be refused
⚠️Other passengers
All non-vaccinated passengers must present a negative COVID-19 test result. The time window in which passengers must have been tested depends on the origin of the passenger.
•All children "regardless their nationalities" under 6 years old are exempted from PCR test.
Before Arrival
🔹Passengers from Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China (People's Rep.), Colombia, Ecuador, France (Paris only), Germany (Frankfurt only), Guyana, Italy (Rome only), Japan, Korea (Rep.), Mexico, New-Zealand, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Thailand, USA, United Kingdom (London Heathrow only), Uruguay or Venezuela
➡️PCR-RT test taken 96 hours before departure
🔹Passengers from any other country (including Cameroon):
➡️PCR-RT test taken 72 hours before departure
💠Passengers arriving directly at Hurghada (HRG), Marsa Alam (RMF), Sharm El Sheikh (SSH) or Taba (TCP) without a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test result are subject to a PCR test on arrival at their own expense.
✅Forms or Applications Required
A completed Public Health Card must be presented to immigration upon arrival.
✅Health Insurance Required
Incoming tourists must show proof of health insurance upon arrival. There are no formal coverage minimums or requirements for travel insurance, except that the duration of the coverage must last for the entire duration that passengers are in Egypt.
