☆ VISA & CURRENCY ☆
I still keep seeing people's confusion over 25$ entry visa & also money situation...so below are a few helpful hints
✓ Bring your own currency £ $ € are accepted all over Sharm but NOT COINS OR SCOTTISH NOTES.
✓ We have situated all over the place ATM machines which you can very easily exchange your money there into local currency.
Very easy to use. Your money goes inside one slot, and on the screen, it is explained how to use and complete the transaction. It tells you what the rates are for all the different currencies so you know how much you will receive. Press continue once you have inserted your money then after it's been counted you will receive the Egyptian money from the other slot with a receipt.
Like I said there's loads of machines everywhere but the best one to use for slightly better rate is CIB banks.
Also, I need to say the Egyptian Currency is a closed currency so don't try to buy before you arrive.
Yes, maybe the odd place online will sell it but it's very poor exchange rate and high charge.
So don't worry it doesn't matter if you don't have any when you first arrive has your first evening you won't need any money you will be busy checking into your rooms, unpacking & off course for sure locating the All-Inc bar 🍹🥃 so your holiday can begin 😊
Regarding Tips 💵...
Please do not feel obligated to leave tips everywhere you go or every day. You have worked very hard all year to save for your long-awaited holiday in the 🌞
The staff are providing a service which they receive a salary for. Yes, it's nice to leave a small tip if the service has been nice but don't feel embarrassed if you don't leave one.
It's good when you first arrive to tip the pool attendant (towel guy) as he will look after you all the time during your holiday and definitely Housekeeping (cleaners) so at least you have a lovely freshly made bed and sparkling room to come back to after a hard day sunbathing 🩱🤿
VISA 🧳
Most people, I think, are aware of the rules now but I will explain again for the guests who have never been to Sharm before.
If you're staying only in Sharm for less than 15 days, then NO you do not need a visa. Upon arrival to Sharm when you go through immigration you will receive a stamp from the officer in your passport which is a *FREE 15 DAY entry stamp* which is sufficient enough to cover you.
If you're planning on Visiting Cairo, Luxor then YES you will need to purchase a 25$ visa upon arrival.
The VISA kiosk is just after the escalators on your left-hand side. Please don't go to the reps touting for business by shouting * Visa Visa* they charge you more.
So, you are saving yourself and each member of your family 25$ each 😃
