I can’t imagine a better way to see Egypt than with Amery Tours. From a sneak peak of the new Grand Egyptian Museum to crawling into tombs not even mentioned in guidebooks, it was a perfect trip. We usually travel alone so joining a small family group under Amery and Mahmoud’s guidance was a different experience. From a seamless pickup on arrival at Cairo to many smooth transitions from bus to plane to bus to boat to horse drawn carriage, to bus, to plane….all was amazingly executed! And they took care of all tips….always a struggle of traveling. I had a guide book to back up where we were but discovered it didn’t even mention some of what we saw. Amery Tours was able to add a requested side trip to the Winter Palace in Luxor. Having read about it, I was anxious for a glimpse into the historic hotel & gardens. Expert information was provided all along the way by Mahmoud Awad, the tour Egyptologist. In addition to pyramids & ancient tombs we saw granite quarries, went to an oil sampling, watched papyrus making, haggled in the markets, just bought things in a fair trade store (no haggling!) and sailed the Nile! As Amery promised, Egypt was so overwhelming, there were no family arguments. Truly an exceptional experience with Amery Tours.
