It does make you contemplate when you find treasured memories of people who explored and connected with nature in the same places we still love today - but decades ago!

This is our friend Pedro posing in 1988 on a caving tour at the stunning Sa Cova Tancada. He and his three friends went all in with full equipment and made it to the end of the cave, taking the descend by rope.

Today Pedro is an avid cyclist keen to share his favourite hidden routes around the countryside of Alcudia Old town.

Our Story

Back in 2013/14, my partner and I were working for another company guiding kayak and hiking tours in Mallorca. During our tours, we discovered breathtakingly beautiful places which many people do not get to see. We marvelled at the tourqoise crystal clear water, hidden coves with spectacular rock formations, and mysterious sea caves. We hiked in tranquil shady pine forests and were constantly amazed with the stunning scenery.

However, we noticed that mosttours and excursions were done in big groups which not only made the visitor experience quite impersonal, but also had a negative impact on the beautiful nature around us. We thought it would be much better if groups were small as this would allow timeto chat with our visitors, givethem insider information, and the tour atmosphere would be more fun and relaxed.

With these ideas in mind, we formed Active Alcudia in 2015. Our main focus is on Coasteering, Snorkelling, Hiking, Cave & Cap Formentor Sunset Tours. Our mission is to have small group tours in places away from the crowds to discover Mallorca off the beaten path. We provide visitors with useful information and share our own interesting experiences, and we make sure that their own experience here is one that they will never forget.
