♡ After 7 amazing years, we at Casa de Laila have decided to close our tent zippers and move on to new horizons.

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have supported and encouraged us over the years: all our guests, wedding couples, yoga teachers, staff, suppliers, followers and friends. Without you, Casa de Laila wouldn’t have been the success story that it’s been. Thank you all so, so much!! ♡

♡ So what´s next, you’re wondering?

We’ve found our dream house in the national park in Tarifa – a beautifully reformed, old mill on the edge of a river, only a 10-minute drive from the most amazing beaches and the old town. And yes – it has a completely private, spacious studio, for you to stay during your holidays.

At the moment we’re decorating and beautifying it, and getting it ready for you! If you’d like to be kept in the loop about the opening date of our brand new accommodation, please let us know in the comments. ♡

♡ The mill is also at the heart of our continuing food journey, providing 100% organic farm to table cuisine for retreats and weddings, as well as offering food workshops, retreats and holidays. ♡♡♡ Laila has officially closed her zippers for 2016! We feel so blessed and we couldn't be more grateful for this season. There have been so many beautiful moments, so many wonderful guests and so many memories created.

Big huge THANK YOU'S to all our guests, retreat participants and wedding couples - you have all added to the beauty of Casa de Laila by leaving little pieces of your hearts here.

We can't thank our wonderful team enough - Mari, Paqui y Paco, vosotros sois nuestros angeles y salvadores. Elske & Bethany as friends and colleagues you girls are invaluable, thank you for carrying us! Mauro, que guru eres, mil gracias hermano.

Also lots of gratitude to the beautiful land we are rooted upon. We feel nurtured and protected by the spirits of this land, and hope that we can give back what it gives to us, by living in harmony with nature.

Sometimes you just need to relax. Instead of enjoying the work you do, things become more fun when you intentionally take some time off just to relax. To tune out. Turn off, Shut down. And do something different. Yes take a break from work. Take a break from Facebook. From everything you are involved in. Let go off burden and de-stress yourself. Celebrate by taking time off your hectic schedule, to break away from work and rejoice in the moment. Rejuvenate and take a short vacation from the hustle and bustle of your typical busy life. Our whole lives we get it drilled into us how very hard work is a major key component to success, so we have a hard time relaxing or even shutting down. We have been taught how to work hard but not how to rest. You don't realise how relaxing can give you a much needed change in perspective. Think of the many times it has happened to you. You are stuck banging your head against a problem for days, But once you take some time to relax and step away from the problem, and when You are not even thinking about it, the solution just pops into the head. Many of the greatest insights actually comes during relaxation times. So let go off all the stress. Do what makes you happy. One of the greatest freedoms is truly not caring what everyone else thinks of you. As long as you are worried about what you were committed to do or what others think of you, you are owned the people. Only when you require no approval from outside yourself, can you own yourself. You have to take care of yourself first, you have to be your own friend. Before making others happy, you have to make yourself happy. It's not called selfishness, it’s called personal development. Once you balance yourself, only then can you balance the world around you!!

Springtime has come early this year! And have a look at these modern mamacitas, that are co-parenting harmoniously... so sweet, and practical too. So far we've counted 9 chickies, but we think there will be a few more, as they are still sitting on 6 more eggs, that have been laid by various chickens on various days. We'll keep you posted on this lovely little rainbow family!
