One of the main summer attractions is our Water Park "Agua Tropic". Here you have a video from the both ends of the water Park. The Park is open from June until beginning of September. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks (but of course NO glass).

LA CHINA. Very close to our beach front apartments in los Ramos and about 500 metres from our Beach Deluxe apartments in Chinagorda, you find the TAPAS BAR and RESTAURANT "LA CHINA". The owner Shani and his staff are very hard working and focused on high quality food for a fair price. Try them. As something new, they are also making Indian food for takeaway.
From the terrace of la China - you are away from the street but with a beautiful view - so enjoy your holiday with Shani and this staff :)

ANTONIA ANDALUZI. After we have been presenting some of the best tapas places in the Old Town area. Now we will start our presentation of another important part of Almuñecar. The San Cristobal area. Antonia Andaluzi brings up of a lot of great memories for us and many of your guests. Antonia Andaluzi have been working very hard and deserves to be named one of the top 5 best tapas places in Almuñecar. Besides Antonias fantastic character - the tapas but also the food on the menu card is of VERY good quality. Said in other words by Antonia you get great services and both great tapas and restaurant food. Try Antonia Andaluzi - and you will understand why she is among the BEST.

CASA MORERIA. In the Cosy Old Town Almuñecar, we have probably one of the Best Renovated Old town houses for rent. Casa Moreria is a classical town house with a great location that have been taken to a very high LIVING level. Casa Moreria is only a few minutes walk away from the Tapas Bars "Meson La Cabaña" and "Meson La Terraza" - and within 5 min. your are on the Municipality square "Plaza de La Constitucion". Besides that Casa Moreria has been renovated to a very high standard, the house also have new King Size Beds 1,80*2,00 metres and 2 terraces with fantastic views to the Sea and Almuñecars Old Town and Mountains. UNBELIEVABLE. In a few places in Almuñecar - you can SELECT your own tapas for your drinks. Our 2 favourite places are MESON LA CABAÑA and MESON LA TERRAZA. Both of them are placed very close to Parque Majuelos - their location is in Avenida de Europa. Just on the outskirts of the Old Town Almuñecar - and very close to our Old Town House - Casa Moreria.
As described in earlier posts - in Almuñecar when you order a drink you get FREE tapas together with your drinks. But in LA TERRAZA and LA CABAÑA - they go 1 step further - they even let their guests SELECT their own tapas. CONCLUSION: You pay for your drink - Tapas by your Own Choice for free. Nothing to think about. Just try it. Finally, one short note - in La Cabaña - you can even get a sweet tapas when you order a coffee.
Other places but with less variety. CACTUS y MESON LOS ARCOS...they are less then 500 metres from LA TERRAZA.

TAPAS. What is more original than the Spanish cured ham "Jamon Serrano" ? Right in the heart of the Old Town you have Francisco 1 - the first and always Tapas is Jamon Serrano. Drink a wine from the barrels - or if you like Porto or Vermouth - anyway you get tapas. Also is attached (but in Danish) a description of Jamon Serrano. The BEST price and quality SEA FOOD TAPAS - then "Los Pajaritos" is a good choice. Los Pajaritos was announced the best tapas bar in Andalucia by the Danish newspaper "Politiken". Here you will see the real version of tapas. When you order a drink - beer, wine or soda - then the owner / kitchen decides what tapas you get for FREE. So when Fernando yells "3 primeras" to the kitchen then it shortly means bring me 3 of the first tapas. The tapas bars do usually serve a new tapa each time you order a drink. In Los Pajaritos you seldom will drink only 1 drink ...because the tapas gets better and better. Los Pajaritos is used a lot by the locals - and it is SPANISH - so for a tourist there are somethings to learn. Be openminded for the Spanish experience, and try the best sea food tapas. And remember - only Fernando knows and decides when he wants to open his tapas bar. If Los Pajaritos is full or closed - you just move on to Francisco 1 or La Plaza de la Constitucion a few minutes away.

TAPAS - Welcome to Paradise. In Almuñecar, tapas is free of charge. It is almost to good to be true. What does this mean? You pay for your drink, and then you are served the tapas without any extra cost. If you google you will find MANY different opinions and explanations about tapas. Here is OUR favorite explanation. The Spanish word TAPAR means TO COVER. So TAPAS is a COVER (In Danish: Daekke over). Here is the story. An effecient bartender wanted glasses of wine to be prepared when the workers came in for the lunch break....but he had the problem that flies (mosquitos) where entering the glass, so he started to cover the glasses with pieces of bread. Suddenly, he realised that workers in fact started to eat the bread together with drinking the wine. So he got a bit more sophisticated - so he started to add a piece of cured ham "Jamon Serrano" on top of the bread. Very soon his bar was full of guests who found it a VERY good deal that when they bought a wine. They also had something to eat. Since then a lot of things have happened...and many persons now know tapas as small dishes where only the fantasy is the limit. In Almuñecar, tapas are free of charge - this is not common in all Spain - just in few areas. Come and enjoy our tapas - and we always have an apartment close by.
