We've had a couple of groups these last two months who have travelled across the world 🌍 to a friend's wedding 💍 in Barcelona and were looking for somewhere special 🪄to unwind 🎶 🍷🌳 afterwards. And they found Les Voltes 🥰.This month we have our first group attending a local wedding 👰👰🤵🤵 at the stunning , just 7 km away.

This is the brand-new kitchen in Les Voltes II. The beams, floors, tiles, and views 😍 are all orginal features. The windows were also there, but we had them fit with double glazing and slightly rose the height on the right to fit the kitchen. Les Voltes II is a three-bedroom apartment that can be rented out on its own or together with the two-bedroomed Les Voltes I. Both options come with exclusive use of the rooftop chillout area 🛋️📚🎹🎶 and terraces ⛱️. All areas have heating ♨️ and air-conditioning ❄️.

October in Barberà de la Conca 😍. Barberà is beautiful all year round, and also green all year round thanks to its mix of crops, vineyards, olive and almond tree groves, and forest. At Les Voltes, you can explore the surrounding countryside by ebike 🚴 in all seasons.

In an amazing coincidence 🍀, our last two guests at Les Voltes shared the same surname: Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos, Ruiseñor en Spanish and rossinyol in Catalan). Neither of them had ever heard the song of a nightingale "live" (one was from Ireland and the other from Texas). To top that, one of them is married to a person with the surname Jay (Garrulus glandarius, arrendajo in Spanish and gaig in Catalan). How beautiful is that for a double-barrel surname: Nightingale-Jay 😍.

Nightingales are hard to spot as they nest in trees, but in our village, you can often hear them singing 🎵 their hearts out. They have an amazing repertoire of songs, as apparently the part of the brain 🧠 for creating sound is bigger than in most other birds.

La Conca de Barberà has around 200 species of birds, making it an ideal place for birdwatchers 🐦🦉🦅 and anyone who loves nature 🦊🌳🦋. and have some wonderful photos of what awaits you.

Our first reviews, all ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for the full house, are in and we are very happy 🥰. This month so far we have welcomed Caitriona and her family from New York 🌃, Konrad and his friends from Denmark 🇩🇰, and Firas and his family from France 🇫🇷 and Germany 🇩🇪. They all loved ❤️Les Voltes and Barberà de la Conca.

Guests at Les Voltes have free use of the village pool during the summer months. The poolside bar & restaurant, La Marinada, is open 7 days a week (closes 20:00 on Mondays).

Les Voltes II kitchen revamp. We kept the floor and wall tiles, double-glazed the windows, and installed a brand-new kitchen with a 90-cm five-burner gas hob and porcelain countertop.

We've chosen this photo first because of the stunning art work on display from Enric Adserà ❤️. Our first set of guests for the whole house arrive this Saturday from France. We hope they enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it (well, most of the time 😅).

La Festa del Trepat no seria el que és sense tota la feina, empenta, creativitat i il·lusió que sempre posava el Cesc Anadón. Ahir ens va deixar, però ens ha deixat un gran regal, la Festa del Trepat en tota la seva essència. El Cesc ja no camina entre nosaltres, però sempre hi serà present ❤️.

Les Voltes celebrated its 7th birthday 🎂 just last week. After years of additions and improvements 🪄, we are putting the final touches on a new space, Les Voltes II 🤩, meaning that we will now be able to accommodate anywhere from 1️⃣ to 1️⃣0️⃣ people, in three flexible formats. Once we’re done, we’ll have proper photos 📸 taken to showcase this lovely new space, with panoramic views 🌄 and stunning art work 🎨 generously on loan to us from Enric Adserà. Thank you familia Adserà! We’ll be opening for La Festa del Trepat, the wine 🍷 & art 🧑‍🎨festival taking place in our village from June 28th-30th. And before you ask, YES, the full house is available for the festival! Just send us a message if you're interested 🤗.

This week, Barberà de la Conca (and Les Voltes 🤩) has been a 3-day stopover for a Swiss couple on a month-long road trip 🚙 through southern Europe and a US family on a 2-week train/car 🚆trip through Spain. Proof yet again that Barberà is a very special place 🪄!

Laurent and his 91-year-old mother 🤩, Cecile, visited us recently from France to visit the three Cistercian monasteries in our area. The wild flowers 🌺 🌹 🌻brought back by Cecile on her daily adventures decorated our home for days after they left ♥️.
