Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, was born on the 29th of September 1547 in Alcala de Henares, in the province of Madrid. Alcala de Henares is a World Heritage Site since 1998, recognized for being home of Cervantes and for it's University, prominent in the study of the Spanish language.
