🌾This is exactly the sort of landscapes I was looking for when I created my last reel. The contrast between almost red soil and green fields is adorable. I made this photo from the train window on my way from to . And I need to admit got it perfectly.

🎞Also this is my first try of and I really like it. The colors are soft and gentle, not too saturated as for example. It gives me the feeling of 90's movie when edges are soft and no sharp contrast. I can definitely recommend this film if you ask me.

And of course, big thanks to for helping me with each step of my photo process: starting from dealing with the camera, and ending with film development. These warming colors are also their merit.

First of all, because it was made for a standard point-n-shoot camera.
Second, because I finally got the composition I really like.
And last, but not least: colors. Even her dress match with the whole atmosphere.

Captured on my journey through the route around Figaro, lies a household that technically belongs to the Vallcàrquera town. However, in reality, it comprises a few farms and numerous architectural wonders that are true gems of the local heritage. Among them stands the Rectory of Vallcàrquera, a farmhouse constructed in the XVII century, devoted to Sant Pere. Additionally, there's Sant Pere de Vallcàrquera, a Romanesque church dating back to the XII century, which still houses some altarpieces from the XVII century and intricately carved sculptures.

Nestled in the midst of the mountains, this place exudes an irresistible charm and timeless appeal. It's as though time itself has no power over this haven; it's both suspended in a perpetual moment and yet doesn't exist at all. Can you envision living in this enchanting time capsule?

The sea is more than just a vast body of water. It's a symbol of freedom, resilience, and infinite possibility. Its ever-changing waves and tides remind us that life is constantly in motion, and it's up to us to ride the waves and make the most of every moment.

Did you know that Figaro has been inhabited since prehistoric times? Its name comes from the Latin "Ficus" which means "fig tree", a plant that has been cultivated in the area for centuries.

During the medieval period, Figaro played a significant role in the political and social affairs of Catalonia. In the 12th century, the city was the site of a significant battle between the Counts of Barcelona and the Kings of Aragon, known as the Battle of Figueres.

Later Figaro played a role in the War of the Spanish Succession, which was fought between 1701 and 1714 over who would inherit the Spanish throne after the death of King Charles II of Spain. During this time, Figaro was part of the Principality of Catalonia, which supported the Archduke Charles of Austria as the rightful heir to the Spanish throne.

One of the most impressive sights in Figaro is the Montserrat mountain range, which can be seen in the distance from the city. These mountains are not only a beautiful natural wonder, but they also hold religious significance as the location of the Benedictine monastery of Montserrat.

Closer to the city, you can't miss the stunning Romanesque church of Santa Maria de Figaro, with its unique octagonal bell tower. And for those who love to hike, the nearby Montseny Natural Park offers endless opportunities to explore the region's natural beauty.

Did you know that the first railway line in Barcelona was inaugurated on October 28, 1848, between Barcelona and Mataró? The line was built to transport goods and people, and it was an important milestone in the development of the city's transportation infrastructure. The inaugural trip was a great event, and it was attended by the Catalan industrial elite, who saw in the railway a new opportunity for economic growth.

The railway line played a crucial role in the expansion of the textile industry in Barcelona, allowing companies to transport their goods more efficiently and cheaply. It also facilitated the movement of people, making it easier for workers to commute to and from their jobs. Today, the original station building in Mataró has been preserved and serves as a museum that showcases the history of the railway line and its impact on the region.

Designed by architect Rafael Moneo, L'Auditori opened its doors in March 1999 and has become a key cultural institution in the city of Barcelona. With its state-of-the-art acoustics and audiovisual equipment, the venue hosts a wide range of concerts, operas, and other cultural events. It is also home to the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra and Catalonia National Orchestra.

The design of the building was inspired by the shape of a lighthouse, which is fitting given its location in the El Parc i la Llacuna del Poblenou neighborhood, close to the Mediterranean Sea. The lighthouse shape is most evident in the cylindrical tower that houses the Sala 1 Pau Casals, which is visible from the outside of the building and adds to its striking architectural design.

In 2005, L'Auditori underwent a major renovation project, including the installation of a new organ, the largest in Spain and one of the largest in Europe. Today, it is recognized as one of the most important concert halls in Europe, attracting music lovers from all over the world.

🏭These three towers of the old power plant are my personal obsession for the last couple of months. They dominate the northeast of Barcelona, and you can not hide from their blinking lights.

Abandoned and gutted now they have a fleur of industrial romantic. But its construction wasn't made by ponies and unicorns.

The company that owned the power plant facilities at that time, launched construction without a municipal permit, and despite the opposition of the city councils and the neighborhood associations, who rejected a new polluting source in the area. Various labor conflicts marked the construction process itself.

In 2000th there were several episodes of air pollution known as "black rain" which led to the partial closure of facilities in 2002.

The story made an unexpected turn in 2008 when the owner company decided to demolish the chimeneas. Town hall and local tenants opposed the idea and promoted maintaining the towers and transforming them into a social center.

In 2018 the process of dismantling the plant was completed. The Turbine room and the three chimneys were the only buildings that remained standing. In April 2016, Endesa ceded them to the council for free, although their future use remains to be decided.

This weekend I gave myself a break from everyday routine and woke up super late. But the weather was so inviting for hiking, so I could cuddle in bed anymore and quickly found an easy hike around Barcelona.
My choice was the mountain between Montcada-i-Reixas and Badalona. Impressive place with beautiful hidden architecture, a joyful view of the surrounding landscape, and an easy hike.
And an unexpected surprise - ruins of the old maison you can see in the photo.
BTW, this weekend I organize hiking for friends on the same route, and it's free and open to join.
