Is the Spanish Startup Residency Program right for you?
Co-founders of innovative business projects and their families could be awarded a startup residency permit - residencia para emprendedores Ley 14/2013.
📆 Initial residency is granted for three years, effective from 23rd December 2022, which can subsequently be extended for an additional two years. After a total of five years, the application for permanent residency becomes viable.
Advantages 👍:
✔️ Residency is granted for three years, with the entitlement to work and establish a business.
✔️ Spouses, who also have a right to work, and children are eligible for residency, and parents can potentially be included as well.
✔️ There's no requirement to obtain a D visa at the consulate. Once the business plan is approved, the residency application is immediately accepted.
✔️ Each project participant and family member can arrive and apply independently, at a time that suits them.
Requirements ✅:
✔️ Legal status in Spain (Schengen visa or any other document that signifies legal entry into Spain).
✔️ A team of 4-5 project participants (co-founders).
✔️ A business plan for the proposed project.
✔️ The project must incorporate an innovative, technological component.
✔️ The project must facilitate job creation in Spain.
✔️ The project and roles of the participants should align with their respective work experiences.
✔️ The business plan must satisfy specific content requirements (as detailed in the business plan requirements below).
✔️ A bank statement showing the necessary funds (as stipulated in the amount requirements below).
💶💱💼Financial resources. You need to show for yourself 200% SMI = 25,920€ for one year.
for dependent family members (partner). For one year, ADDITIONALLY show +75% SMI to the main applicant = 9,720€
+3,780€ (for the third family member and so on) 25%SMI.
