Last but not least, we are excited to present the renewned chairs for your UNSC committee:

🚨Valentina Lopez: Valentina is a 3rd year international relations student. She is quite passionate about debating all sorts of topics of paramount importance to our current world. She is interested in women's rights, migration, democracy and colonialism. She is sooo excited to be your chair during this conference and get to know all of you!

🚨Alicia Formento Ruiz: Alicia is a fourth-year student of International Relations degree at Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Her MUN journey in 2022 and since then, she has been in multiple conferences as a delegate, chair, and in the secretariat. She is currently the Deputy Secretary General at FMUN and Vice-president at UNANIMUN. Her first MUN was at CMUN, therefore she is honored to be chairing this year's Security Council.

🗺️Alejandra Segovia : Alejandra is in her second year of Economics and International Studies at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, though she is originally from Sevilla. Since she participated in her first MUN as a chair, she knew she had to relive the experience. Because as demanding as it can get, it is also extremely fulfilling. She is immensely grateful for this challenging opportunity. Even though it will be her first time working with the CMUN secretariat, she has no doubt that it will be an easy job to work hand in hand with such talented people. She’s committed to making the ASEAN committee unforgettable!

🗺️Laia Marzá: Laia is a fourth-year International Relations student at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). For the last two years, she has been very passionate at taking part in MUNs, since she believes they are incredible experiences where students learn much knowledge and have lots of fun. Her academic interests include conflict, peace, and human rights issues in Latin America and Asia, which is why she is thrilled to be a chair in ASEAN with Alejandra. She is already willing to start with this C’MUN adventure!

Just a year ago, Àxel found himself in the same position as many of you, standing on the brink of a new MUN experience. Grateful for a scholarship from UNSA Barcelona, he participated as a delegate in CMUN 2023, cherishing the memories as priceless treasures. 🌎Ana Zamarreño López: In the world of International Relations, fourth-year student Ana Zamarreño López stands out. Her journey into Model United Nations (MUNs) began two years ago, fueled by a profound interest in global governance and international law. Ana’s academic path has been enriched by insights gained from various conferences, but her deepest learnings come from the people she’s had the privilege to meet. Currently serving as the President of the UNANIMUN Association at UAB, Ana is excited to bring her experiences to the CMUN 2024 committee. 🌍 This resolution acknowledges the vital contribution of Model United Nations (MUN) to diplomacy and international cooperation. It emphasizes MUN’s role in building the capacities of young individuals in global affairs, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in promoting multilateralism.

🖊️ MEET OUR LEGAL ADVISORS

👉🏻 Throughout all debate sessions, there will be Legal Advisors present to assist delegates and ensure that any resolutions passed during the debates are within the scope of the committees and are realistically feasible.

This edition’s legal advisors are:

🔹 Anna Ulloa. Student of Law at the University of Barcelona, wanting to specialize in public and private international law.
🔸 Michela Bongiovanni. Student of a Double Degree in Law & Global Governance, Economics and Legal Order at ESADE University.
🔹 Belén Pascual. Graduated in Law from the University of Zaragoza and currently studying for a master's degree in International Relations, Security and Development at the UAB.

🇺🇳MEET THE CHAIRS OF THE SECURITY COUNCIL

🔵 Pol is in his last year at the UAB studying for an International Relations degree. He has participated as a delegate in many MUN conferences being awarded for his performance. He has also participated in different politics-related simulations and wishes to do so again in the future. He is eager to see how the Security Council debates and delegates negotiate. Besides being part of MUNs he also enjoys meeting new people, a good read or a walk by the beach.

🔵 Celia is 21 years old and she is studying for a double degree in mathematical engineering and computer science. She has always been interested in politics and international relations and found the MUN world to be a challenging yet fun way to be engaged in her interests. Thanks to UNSA, she has ad the opportunity to participate in several MUNs all over Europe as a delegate, chair and secretariat. In her professional life, she is aim to apply the new technological advances to social issues for a sustainable future. She has a wide range of interests from business to literature to women’s history and feminist theory. This last year she has discovered a new passion of hers for everything relating to security and defence thus she is excited to be chairing the Security Council! She looks forward to joining all of you in this edition of C’MUN!

🇪🇺MEET THE EUCO CHAIRS

🎉 Lorena is a third-year International Business and Economics student at UPF. She is passionate about the business world, advertising, and is keen on international affairs. She considers herself a forward-looking person and has always tried to participate in many different projects to try and learn everything possible. This got her to enrol in the MUN world when she was fifteen and, since then, she has participated in many MUNs as a delegate, chair and member of the secretariat. That said, she can't be more excited to participate as a chair on the new edition of C’MUN and to get to meet you all!

🎉 Carlos is a second-year Law & International Studies student at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. He entered the MUN world in his first year of university and has not been able to stop since then, participating in several MUNs either as a delegate, chair or USG. Model United Nations allowed him to mix two of his passions, policy-making and meeting new people. He also adores reading, fitness and going out (not particularly original hobbies). He is thrilled to be chairing the European Council committee at C'MUN 2023 and is looking forward to meeting delegates willing to learn and display their full skillset.

🌍MEET THE AFRICAN UNION’S CHAIRS

👏🏻 Laura is graduating this year from Law and Criminology at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. She is very interested in criminal law and international affairs with special regard for gender inequality. In her free time, she enjoys doing lots of activities. She has always liked those hobbies that help her express her creativity, such as playing the piano and dancing, among others. Also, whenever she can she likes to travel because she finds it fascinating to learn about new cultures and meet people from around the world. Regarding MUNs, she began this journey in high school and continued through university by participating in local and international conferences as a delegate and chair. She is very excited to participate once more in this conference and is looking forward to meeting you all!

👏🏻 Gemma is a fourth year student of Global Governance, Economics and Legal Order at Esade. She is currently taking another degree in Translation, Interpreting and Applied Languages. The first time she participated in an MUN was when she was 16 years old. Since then, she immediately fell in love with how the UN works and decided that she wanted to make this her professional reality. Gemma has been a delegate and chair in several conferences all around Europe, such as Romania, Denmark and Germany. She is really looking forward to this year's edition of CMUN, specially because she will be chairing along with her co-chair and friend Laura!

🟣 MEET THE UN WOMEN CHAIRS

✨ Ariadna is a last-year Political Science student at UPF in Barcelona. Since she was little, she has loved learning new languages and debating. Feminism, human rights, and international security are her favourite topics to talk about, but she also loves history and psychology. Her MUN journey started one year ago when she joined UNSA Barcelona. She has been lucky enough to participate as a delegate in various international conferences and now be part of the Secretariat of her association’s MUN. Besides the MUN world, she loves dancing, reading, spending time outside (especially near the sea), and working out! She is beyond excited to meet you all this April in C'MUN 2023 as a Chair of the UNWOMEN committee. Together with her co-chair, she will encourage all the delegates to show their potential!

✨ Lucía is a fourth-year student of Law and BBA at Universidad de Zaragoza. Her strong interest in geopolitics, current affairs and International Law encouraged her to partake as a delegate in numerous Models from the early beginning of her university years. Besides, for the past few years she has been part of the Organization Team of MUNIZAR, the first MUN of Universidad de Zaragoza, both as Academic Director and as Chair; and she has been highly involved in the MUN society of her university, ACMUNDI. In her free time, she really enjoys discovering new music, searching for new LPs to expand her vinyl collection, going to the cinema and reading. Lucía is eager to be in charge of UN Women in this year’s edition of C’MUN along with Ariadna, and she is looking forward to meeting all the delegates in April!

🟠 MEET THE CHAIRS OF UNHRC

🙌🏻 Maria is a third-year Political and Administration Sciences student at UPF. While she had always been interested in international affairs, it was not until her first year at university that she discovered the world of MUNs, which has become one of the most important parts of her college experience. Since then, she has had the opportunity to participate in several international MUNs both as a delegate and as part of the secretariat. Besides her degree, she is also pursuing a minor in Gender Studies and is an active member of UNSA Barcelona, currently being head of courses. In her free time, Maria enjoys cooking and exploring new places.

🙌🏻 Pedro is a Law and BBA student at Universidad de Zaragoza with great interest in geopolitics, policy-making and contemporary social issues. Having discovered Model United Nations at University, he has actively participated in several conferences during the last years. He was also part of the Organisation Team of the first edition of MUNIZAR as its Academic Director, a position that he is still holding in MUNIZAR 2023. Pedro is eager to be in charge of the Human Rights Council in C'MUN 2023 and he is looking forward to meeting all the delegates in April!
