📍 La Pedrera – Barcelona, Spain
✨ A creation by Antoni Gaudí ✨

Step into Gaudí’s surreal world, where stone flows like water and architecture feels alive 🌊🌿

📐 Also known as Casa Milà, La Pedrera is one of the most iconic works of Catalan modernism. Built between 1906 and 1912, it stands out with its wavy façade and nature-inspired iron balconies. More than a building — it’s a living sculpture 🍃

🏠 Inside, every space reflects Gaudí’s unique vision:
🔹 A fully restored bourgeois apartment, with salons, bedrooms, a kitchen, and a period-style bathroom — a true step back in time.
🔹 A stunning attic, supported by over 270 brick arches, now home to an immersive exhibition about Gaudí’s methods and inspirations.
🔹 A dreamlike rooftop terrace, filled with spiral chimneys that resemble stone guardians, and offering breathtaking views of the city.
🔹 Bright interior courtyards and sculpted staircases, where every curve feels alive.

💫 A visit where art, nature, and architecture blend into one seamless experience. #2025

For this Recipe of the Month we have Pan de Sant Jordi! Pan de Sant Jordi is a traditional bread in Catalonia, specially made for Sant Jordi’s Day (April 23rd). Its red and yellow stripes, created with sobrassada and cheese, symbolize the Catalan flag (La Senyera). This bread is a delicious way to celebrate Catalan culture, love, and literature—key themes of this beautiful holiday! 📚🌹

Welcome back to one of our favorite series, Our Guides’ #1 Tour! 🎉 Today, we’re exploring why Samu is obsessed with his top adventure! 🌿✨

Here’s what Samu had to say about his ultimate tour:

"Priorat is by far my favourite tour. The dramatic scenery of this secluded valley, the sleepy small villages, the feeling of being a bit out of time. And obviously the superb reds, result of the constant struggle of the vines growing on such a poor and dry soil."

Welcome back to one of our favorite series, Our Guides #1 Tour! Today, we’re diving into why Anthony loves his top adventure so much! 🍷✨

Here’s what Anthony had to say about his favorite TOURS:
"My favourite tour would have to be the Priorat Tour, though the Penedés Tour comes in at a close second!.
I've always had a passion for wine and gastronomy, so together with my other interests in travel, nature, history and culture, the Priorat Tour offers me the whole package while also meeting great people along the way!
The drive to El Priorat from Barcelona takes around 2 hours and there's plenty to see en route. First driving through the rolling hills of El Penedés with Montserrat as the backdrop is a spectacular gateway to the tour.
We wind our way up the rockier terrain of the Montsant mountain range until we reach El Priorat, the jewell hidden away on the other side of the ridge. After a brief stop off at the tiny village of Cornudella de Monsant we then make our way to our first port of call Pasanau winery, boasting the highest altitude in the wine region with breath-taking views to match.
The scenery in El Priorat is quite magical, typified by rounded hills huddled together as far as the eye can see covered with a green blanket of forests and terraced vineyards with the odd hilltop village dotted here and there. You really feel transported to another world far from the humdrum of city life.
The day flows as does the wine as we visit two other wineries, Clos Figueras and Devinssi, both in the charming village of Gratallops. Each of the three wineries visited offers an insight into their own particular wine-making methods and of course an opportunity to taste their wonderful wines. After a tour of Clos Figueras we stay put at their restaurant where we're treated to a three course meal with a choice of exquisite Catalan dishes to choose from. A perfect way to compliment their wine.
The adventure continues as we are invited into the heart of the region's vineyards to sample wines from the Devinssi winery while sitting open air among the vines, overlooking some of the most epic landscapes in Catalonia.
Learning about the typical grape varieties of El Priorat D.O.Q*, the local types of soil and the history of wine production in the region which can be traced all the way back to the Carthusian monks in the 12th century, you begin to understand what makes this wine region so special.
All in all an amazing tour in one of the most unique wine regions in Spain.

*El Priorat is only one of two D.O.Q. wine regions in the whole of Spain (the other being La Rioja). D.O.Q. (Denominació d'Origen Qualificada, in Catalan) is the officially recognized highest level of quality guaranteed by a strict control of specific grape varieties, production and conditions within the region."
