October 9th is the Day of the Valencian Community! 🥳 A public holiday throughout the Valencia region.On the 9th of October every year, the people of Valencia celebrate the national day of their autonomous region. This is a historical commemoration of the date in 1238 when King James I officially entered the city of Valencia, freeing it from Moorish rule. 😃
This gorgeous region is mostly known for its gorgeous beaches and the popular Costa Blanca. They are a true gem, but there is so much more to this area! We should highlight its gorgeous villages, such as the charming Jávea or Guadalest, and the lively cities like Peñíscola and Valencia, architectural wonders that always make the perfect destination.
Its charms go even further. The Albufera Natural Park is a fabulous natural treasure, and it is home to a wide number of animals and birds and infinite paddy fields. And, of course, let’s not forget about the delicious Valencian paella and its refreshing horchata! 🥘
The winter months, when the weather is mild and dry, are prefect times to explore this fantastic area 😍
