** Big catfish in extreme conditions **

Dameon was one of the few lucky ones that made it over here to the Ebro last year, and he absolutely smashed it! Check out the “live-strike” video, photos and full report below🇪🇸🎣🎣

With a lot of rain due up in the mountains, the water was getting dropped fast to prevent floods, making it extremely difficult to reach the river banks without getting the boat stuck in the mud but with a bit of effort and teamwork we managed to still keep fishing the area.

Fishing big bundles of Canadian night crawlers presented on small subfloats boosted in worm extract to give away more attraction in the cold water did the trick, and Dameon managed to beat his previous personal record from earlier trips a total of 5 times!!

With some horrendous snags in the area the new equipment from Black cat got tested to the max and we are pleased to say it handled the big fish with ease, giving future guests an even better chance once hooked in to a river monster!

This is the top weights of Dameon’s catfish from the trip 174lb, 174lb, 173lb,161lb and 151lb!

We would like to say to all our loyal guests old and new how thankful we are for your support! We hope you have a very merry
Christmas and a happy new year!

Looking back at this year, 2020 goes to the history as a very different year where many guests unfortunately where unable to visit us. The many weeks between guest have been spent on the river redefining techniques and tactics to give you an even better experience next time out with us!

The river is full up and looking very healthy for the coming season so looks like we have a great fishing season coming up! We look forward to customers old and new joining us in 2021 and making it a special fishing year. We know things not been great this year but we feel future plans will be good and we hope things are better next year!

We will be back after the holidays with some awesome catch reports from the few lucky ones that visited us this year so stay tuned!

**One of the best if not the best fishing experiences ever**

Check out this photos from an absolutely mental week with over 160 fish on the bank between 4 anglers!! This group from Sweden hit it absolutely right, and was fortunate to see Ebro from one of its best sides with some crazy action hooking in to one catfish after another!

Here’s a few words from them about the trip!

“One of the best if not the best fishing experiences ever, Pontus Ingvarsson knows were to catch them! It was nuts, with plenty of fish over 115 pounds and quite a few over 130 pounds!
The largest was 151 pounds!
At the rate we were catching fish we didn't have time for tea 😊”

Finally we can inform you that from the 21/6 Spain is opening up its borders! We have been in contact with clients arriving the week after and ALL OF THEM have been contacted by their airlines confirming their flights will run as scheduled!

River conditions are absolutely perfect with plenty of water, the fish have had a proper good rest after the spawning and will be well on the feed so expect some great action and massive feeding frenzys in the Spanish sunshine!

As you know we at Catfish capers always try to give you the highest customer service and supply you with the best tackle available for the job! After using Black cat products for the last few years with good result we’ve opted for new rods and reels from their range! The quality is top notch and we’re looking forward for you to catch some big catfish on them once all this is over and we’re allowed out to fish again!

The rods we opted for is 10’ Black Cat Catbusters - A classic proven cult rod with a very parabolic action that will make it a joy for you all to play fish on, but plenty of back bone for the biggest of catfish!

The reels to match this are Fin-nor offshore 9500. A strong powerful reel with plenty of line capacity and good line retrieve making it easy to fish long distance! Once spooled up with 150lb braid and 220lb snagleaders, It can handle even the biggest of catfish!

In our opinion a lovely combination and we are sure you will agree once you try them🎣🎣

Over the last few years hundreds of anglers have been staring at this rod tips while waiting for a bite! This was some of the best catfish rods ever made! But nothing lasts forever and after landing thousands of catfish on these beauty’s it’s time for retirement!

This time of the year delivers some great catfishing! The weather is really nice and sunny with not to high temperatures but with the odd shower here and there! The cats are in really good shape feeding like crazy before it’s time to spawn, and they will be at their absolute top weights!
