Our Story
High above the Axarquía countryside with views to the Mediterranean and of Andalucía's highest mountain, La Zahúrda is a surrounded by almond and olive trees - a place to relax, recharge and spend happy times together.
There are two villas, each sleeping six in rustic charm and a casual ambience. Together they are great for friends or a pair of families. Or in quieter months, we can rent one villa and shut the other for privacy. There are wonderful terraces on many levels, shaded by grape vines and offering spectacular views. There is a pool to cool off, a boules court if that takes your fancy and a fifteen minute walk is the historic village of Comares, with its Moorish alleyways.
In spring, as the almond trees blossom, the cool days are perfect for hiking the various trails around the area; in summer it is too hot but to laze about and soak up the Andalusian sun. Beaches are not far, with all the water sports you could imagine. Golf, horse riding, wine tasting are all short trips away if you can leave La Zahúrda for the day.
