A must see town when you’re staying at Casa Fuente! Mojácar pueblo is just beautiful, perched up high with views across Almería. White-washed ‘sugar cube’ houses, fabulous restaurants and artisan shops. Best time to visit is morning before it gets too hot or up in the evening to see the sunset and you may even stumble upon live music in the square. Remember siesta time means some shops will close for a couple of hours in the afternoon reopening early evening, but staying open into very late!

Calles de Mojácar (Almería) uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España desde el año 2013. Un pueblo con una costa y unas playas espectaculares.

Another amazing activity to do from Casa Fuente, to explore the region on an e-bike (which could save the legs on any upward climbs 😜)! Discover the local towns or use to travel to Lunar Cable Park on the cycle path along the Almanzora riverbed, and have a go at Wakeboarding with the team up there, or have fun on the inflatable course. Or just have a burger and (alcohol free) beer at the bar. Think I’ve just planned my perfect day!

This family from Cabrera had their e-bikes delivered FREE, at a location of their choosing, on Mojacar Playa. Half day hire is a great way to explore Mojacar, Garrucha and surrounding areas. Where would you like your e-bikes delivered?

One of our favourite places to visit and we highly recommend you to add to your holiday ‘to see’ list! This is the beautiful village of Mojacar Pueblo, about 30 mins drive from
Casa Fuente. A fabulous place to wander the lanes, enjoy a meal at sunset and explore the pop-up shops and local artists exhibitions.

September and October are arguably the best months to visit… the weather is amazing, the pool is still warm enough to enjoy and there’s enough still going on to feel like a holiday BUT…. because it’s not the school holidays, flights are cheaper and it’s lovely and quiet! So you’re exhausted from lying by the beautiful pool all day and fancy getting out and about and exploring the best of the local area? Here’s a few of our favourite things to enjoy with the family…
Caving at Cuevas de Sorbas - yes you will have a hairnet and hard-hat, but it’s a perfect place to escape the scorching sun!
Wakeboarding, paddle-boarding and inflatable obstacles at Lunar Cable Park, you’ll easily spend half a day here (and the Chiringuito serves the best dirty fries and burgers around !)
Race your mates (or Nan) at Karting Garrucha Almeria, and there’s a junior circuit for the bambinos.
Then there’s horse-riding as well as events to go to Trex Andalucia Sanctuary and finally Parque Acuático Aquavera, a fabulous waterpark for thrillseekers and water-babies of all ages.
