¿Sabías que nuestro apartamento con terraza frente a La Co**ha perteneció a la familia de José Canalejas Méndez (Presidente del Gobierno de España 1910-1912)? En esta foto puedes ver en la terraza de nuestro apartamento a la familia Canalejas y al propio José Canalejas (centro). Esta foto fue tomada alrededor del año 1910, y sólo 2 años después José Canalejas fue asesinado por un anarquista en Madrid mientras observaba el escaparate de una librería.

Un poco de historia sobre el edificio (Paseo Miraconcha 24)... Conocida como Villa Amparo (Miguel Irastorza, 1906) fue la residencia de verano de la familia Canalejas durante muchos años. En 1888, el padre de José Canalejas (José Canalejas y Casas, 1827-1902) adquirió esta villa frente a la bahía de La Co**ha, a la que puso el nombre de su esposa Amparo. Su hijo Luis Canalejas, hermano de José, heredó la villa Amparo.

La Villa Amparo es un inmueble protegido por el PEPPUC-Grado D.

🇬🇧 Did you know that our apartment with a terrace facing La Co**ha belonged to the family of José Canalejas Méndez (President of the Government of Spain from 1910-1912)? In this photo, you can see the Canalejas family on the terrace of our apartment, along with José Canalejas himself (center). This photo was taken around 1910, and just two years later, José Canalejas was assassinated by an anarchist in Madrid while looking at a bookstore window.

A bit of history about the building (Paseo Miraconcha 24)... Known as Villa Amparo (Miguel Irastorza, 1906), it was the summer residence of the Canalejas family for many years. In 1888, the father of José Canalejas (José Canalejas y Casas, 1827-1902) acquired this villa facing La Co**ha Bay, which he named after his wife Amparo. His son Luis Canalejas, José's brother, inherited Villa Amparo.

Villa Amparo is a property protected by PEPPUC-Grade D.
