🥵 🔥 HEAT WAVE COMING 🔥 🥵

‼️ Expected temperatures over the coming days over 40º in the Region of Murcia, and over 45º on Monday 12th July ‼️

The Ministry of Health of the Region of Murcia advises adopting preventive measures against the rise in temperatures expected for the next ones in the Region of Murcia.

It is recommended to take extreme precautionary measures to avoid possible heat strokes that are VERY dangerous.

🏡 Try to stay at home during the warmest hours of the day, or in a cool place.

💦 It is essential to drink plenty of water without waiting to be thirsty to avoid dehydration - cramps, lipothymia or fainting if you do not rest in a cool and shady area.

☕️ It is also advised not to abuse beverages with caffeine, alcohol or a lot of sugar, as they can cause you to lose more body fluid, and 🏋️‍♀️ not to practice intense physical activity outside during the main hours of the day.

👵🏻 👶 You should be very aware of the elderly and dependants, as well as children, since they may have a decreased sensation of thirst, in addition to those who take various medications for the nervous system and circulatory system and patients that may be aggravated by the heat and dehydration.

🥗 Another tip is to eat light meals that help to replace the salts lost through sweat, such as salads, fruits, vegetables and juices, and try to wear light, loose-fitting and breathable clothing.

🚗 Never leave anyone (humans OR animals!) in a parked car.

🐕 Do not walk pets at hottest hours of the day, it is best either very early in the morning or late at night.

👨‍⚕️ If you have symptoms that last for more than an hour, a doctor should be consulted. Likewise, medicines must be kept in cool places because heat can alter their composition and effects.

💉 It is also recommended that people who are scheduled to be vaccinated against Covid-19 in the coming days, to arrive at the indicated time to avoid queues and unnecessary waiting in possibly hot places.

‼️ Changes in Covid-19 measures MURCIA Región ‼️

✅ The inside of bars and restaurants may open up to 30% capacity in 37 municipalities.
(Abanilla, Águilas, Albudeite, Alcantarilla, Los Alcázares, Aledo, Alguazas, Archena, Beniel, Blanca, Bullas, Calasparra, Campos del Río, Cartagena, Cehegín, Cieza, Fortuna, Jumilla, Librilla, Lorca, Lorquí, Mazarrón, Molina de Segura, Moratalla, Mula, Murcia, Ojós, Pliego, Ricote, San Javier, San Pedro del Pinatar, Santomera, Las Torres de Cotillas, Totana, La Unión, Villanueva del Río Segura and Yecla)

➡️ Inside, tables of maximum 2 if participants from different households.
If all participants from same household tables may be of more.
➡️ Customers may only be seated on tables, not up at the bar.
➡️ Capacity of terraces raises to 100% (2m distance between tables etc of course still applies)

🚫 On the other hand, there are eight municipalities that are in high-risk zones (red areas on map) after increasing the incidence by 80% in recent days.
These towns are Abarán, Caravaca, Ceutí, Fuente Álamo, Puerto Lumbreras and Torre Pacheco, Alhama and Ulea. These municipalities are the only ones that will NOT open the interior of bars and restaurants.
✅ But may open terraces (100%)
‼️ These towns will also have a perimetral closure.

All of these measures will come into force from this Wednesday 3rd March.

➡️ Terraces continue being maximum 4 people on terraces if from different households.

➡️ The curfew continues being from 10pm - 6am.
