Proper rain now! We definitely have chosen a good week to be closed!
Forecast to be hot and sunny well before the weekend. Why not come and join us? 3 standard rooms available from 20th to 29th June, last minute decisions are often inspired! (And we’ve only got a few spaces left in Autumn, probably our final season 🥲)
Mainly on the plain
A good day for House Closed methinks.
Not much sunbathing today, we do need the rain though, so no complaints.
Well, that’s rather odd. You can see the sky, but it appears to be raining quite heavily… 🤔
… albeit mainly on the plain …
By George! I think I’ve got it!
Worship to the sound of the babbling brook, and the overflowing fountain
Maybe next year ...
... maybe not.

Volunteer Weeks 2022
Volunteers weeks are always absolutely brilliant. This year is no exception, with 7 willing workers painting, cleaning, pruning, clearing - the weather has been so kind to us!
We open in just over 2 weeks time - and we couldn´t have been ready without these folks - thankyou so much!
So, if you´d like to admire their handiwork, you´ll need to come and visit us to take advantage!
A 30s video we made today. The weather is different from the UK, please stay safe this weekend folks!
Also, Mike´s latest blog out today. Apparently Facebook blocks Tumblr URLs (no, don´t need to know why), so you can get it from either our mobile site m.palmgrovecommunity.com or https://twitter.com/el_palmeral - let´s see if they ban those as well .....
It´s a short chat about making retreats, with another cat photo ... (half sibling of Paws)
Spring is on the way
We're sure our neighbours behind won't mind us taking photographs of their Almond Trees in blossom. A beautiful reminder at the start of the year of new life and fresh starts.
Or maybe it just means the year is going to be 'Nuts' 😁.
Our new mobile website should be working now, different to the desktop site, and links to our Instagram, Twitter, YouTube etc. Do try it out and let us know if something doesn't work! www.palmeral.es should get you to both, or use m.palmgrovecommunity.com if there's a problem.
Episode 4 out on Sunday
Episodes 1 -3 of our Lent walks are on the Youtube Channel.

Watch out for Episode 4, released on Sunday.
We´re off to the seaside again!!
Who needs Oprah to reveal tension in the family?
Episode TWO of our Lent series with a difference will be available from Sunday. all being well. Make it a Soothing Sunday or a Mindfulness Monday and follow us as we walk around Elche.
If you've not seen Episode One yet and want to watch it in full Wobbly Vision and Big Background Noise, https://youtu.be/qFKur3m5rMk will give you the 29 minute version. Here's an extract with a Director's Cut of a Santa Pola Egret at the end ....
If it's too slow for you, watch it in Black & White, put Swedish subtitles on (optional) and pretend it's Ingmar Bergman Slow Cinema - worked for us.
It may be a lonely Blue Monday, but jam packed Orange Wednesdays are on the way.
(And Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun. Mon, Tue for that matter - plenty to go around)
The future's bright . . .
