Daniel is Benali's dinner chef and creates to most original meals with local products.

In our eco lifestyle we feel connected with everything that grows in nature in various ways. We grow our own vegetables (if there is rainwater😉).

Daniël makes the tastiest, pure dishes with season products, fresh herbs, good olive oil and a lot of love as he always say himself as the main ingredient.

Luc make delicious herbal teas or let you choose to make your own tea. He will tell you about the medicinal properties or give you advice about which herbs suit you based on your mood.

Decorating is Martine's passion, for which she scours the grounds looking for bamboo plumes, branches and flowers to dry.
You will find her decoration at all accommodation, outdoor terraces to give you even more the feeling of a being surrounded by nature.

This week we finished the frontside of the multifuncional studio. Daniel sanded and painted the iron bars and the windows while Martine was rebuilding the wall with natural mountain stones.

This time we had both our own proyect, but we can also work together when we are building or painting, which is impossible according to cooking in the kitchen.

8 years ago we, Daniel and Martine, fell in love with Casas Benali. Due to the remote location, we did not find an electricity network that challenged us to live off the grid.
Fortunately there was a water source. We also did not shy away from the immense plot including 2,000 ecological olive trees, fruit and walnut trees.

The unique silence, being surrounded by nature, growing our own veggies gives us a balanced, healthy and conscious life.

We, Daniel and Martina, work together with a lot of local people who are as passioned as we about the Valencian cuisuine and beautiful ecological wine.
Especially for small teams, a group of friends or family, we created a culinary experience for you.

Koen, a Dutch man who lives in Valencia, will take the group by bike to discover the Valencian rural life. You will participate in the preparation of the woodfire paella, harvest some of the ingredients in season, and visit a traditional ‘barraca’ farmhouse nearby.

The local winery was founded by Pedro Perez. Now his 3 grandsons (all brothers) proudly continue his work. You will be guided around and will get to know the secrets of creating high-quality ecological wine and will taste some of the best wines of Bodega Enguera.

We are very proud that we have the best restaurant in the area with signature cuisine in our village.
Chef Carlos makes the connection between the vegetable garden and a beautiful, creative plate with surprisingflavourss.
He will make you an extensive tasting menu.

FAMILY DINNER

The parents of Daniel arrived 2 days ago in Benali.
Daniel made a delicious Mexican soup with beans, carrot, red pepper, corn, onion, creme fraiche, coriander and grilled tortillas.

Eveline, his mam made a cinnamon nut cake (kruidenkoek)

And I prepared a little snack by putting a spicy nut mix in a small bowl. Maybe tomorrow I should put a little more effort in the family dinner.

The hamlet of Benali is located in inland of Valencia, an hour drive from the city of Valencia, Benali is an organic farm with 68 hectares of land with 2000 olive trees, almond- and walnut trees and several fruit trees. Here you will find the ideal balance of silence, relaxation, adventure and nature. We meet current standards to maintain the health and safety of our guests what is our toppriority. The estate consists of traditional Spanish houses and rooms connected by an attractive courtyard. To complete the picture Benali also has its own romantic chapel. The village has 360 degree views of the surrounding fields and woods and on clear days you can even see the sea. The accommodation at Benali consists four B&B rooms for 2-4 people, a 2 person guest house and two spacious group accommodations each for 8 people in the beautifully restored houses. Each room has a private bathroom to meet the current standards. The whole hamlet accommodate 30 people.
