For those of you who plan to travel to Spain in the coming weeks and months
A reminder about the ‘New Normality’ in Spain
As borders are now open and people start to come into Spain, we thought we’d write up a little ‘reminder’ of the regulations that continue in the New Normality. You can share this post to friends who are visiting soon if they don’t know about the different rules 🙂
🇪🇸 Throughout ALL of Spain:
- Face masks continue being obligatory for all persons over the age of 6 years old, in open and closed spaces where the 1.5m social distance cannot be maintained. If you are in a bar consuming drinks or food, you may remove the mask. If you on the beach, too, as long as the 1.5 metre distance is being maintained from others. Fines can be given out to those not wearing masks when they should be. Any mask is fine, as long as it covers mouth & nose. (See image for all info)
- Maintain social distancing (1.5m) always when possible.
Main points of interest in different autonomous communities (we have chosen these 3 areas as they are where most of our followers are from):
🟠 In Comunidad Valenciana:
- Maximum capacity in closed spaces: 75%
- Beaches and swimming pools: the Generalitat calls for the installation of removable walkways on the beaches to guarantee the safety distances. The pools may open to 75% of their capacity.

🔵 In Murcia Region:
- In general, in closed spaces, maximum capacity of 75%. The number of attendees to outdoor activities should not exceed 500, a figure that will be reduced to 200 for closed areas.
- Beaches and swimming pools: Beach goers must maintain social distance of 1.5m between groups, or use of a mask when this is not possible. Swimming pools 75% of capacity.

🟣 In Andalucia:
- Capacity in bars and restaurants is expanded to 75%, with 25% of tables. Cinemas and theatres may reach 65% of their occupation. While open-air concerts can be performed with a maximum of 1,500 attendees, always seated. The communal areas of hotels will have a capacity of 50%.
- Beaches: the general rule of 1.5 minimum social distance or use of a mask when this is not possible, must be maintained.
