THE CITY

Cordoba was founded by the Roman «Claudius Marcelus» in the year 152 b.c.. The city reached its artistic and cultural splendor during the Arab Occupation (711 to 1236 when it was reconquered by the Christian armies) and is unique in the world for its Arab reminiscenses and beans. During the 10th Century it was declared the Capital of «El Alandalous» reaching the status of Caliphate in the year 929 under the reign of Abderraman III. The Mosque/Catedral has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
DAY TRIP

Our representative guide will meet the clients at the hotel along the coast and departure towards Cordoba. Upon arrival with a panoramic tour of the city and then the guided walking tour with the local guide and entrance tickets to the Mosque/Cathedral and Synagogue. Walk through the Jewish quarter where you will see its typical streets of flowers and patios and the Roman bridge. Free time to explore on your own and in the afternoon we will return to Costa del Sol and hotels.

Rappelling is a rope descent system used on vertical surfaces. It is used in places where descent is otherwise difficult or unsafe.

The professionals of Ocioaventura Cerro Gordo understand it as an initiation technique to canyoning. You will descend natural vertical sections, attached to a harness and guided by ropes.

Rappelling is suitable for both children and adults. Depending on the age and physical condition of each person, a different rappel will be recommended.

At all times you will be accompanied by a specialized monitor who will help you during the course of the activity.

RAFTING GENIL RIVER - WHITE WATERS

SECTION BENAMEJÍ (El Tejar) - PALENCIANA

This activity consists of going down the Genil River in a pneumatic raft accompanied by a specialized guide who will direct the raft with the help of the group.

The level of the whitewater stretch of the Genil River is GRADE II-III, recommended from 14 years old.

At the beginning of the activity, the guide will give some basic notions to know how to act in the river. No previous experience is required.

The section of AGUAS BRAVAS runs between El Tejar-Benamejí and Palenciana (Córdoba), where there are different “turbulence” rapids that give the white appearance from the foam it generates.

Accompanying minors under 14 years of age will be able to carry out the initial 25 minutes of the tour in the water, later they will stay with a monitor.

White water rafting:
- €45 per person for small groups (1-5 people)
- €40 per person for medium groups (6-19 people)
- €35 per person for large groups (+19 people).

CANORAFT-KAYAK IN RIVER
Feel like a fish in water

The Canoraft or river kayak consists of descending the Genil River in a section of grade I-II (section of calm waters with some small rapids), for the total safety of the participants. The activity takes place inside a two-seater pneumatic kayak accompanied by a specialized monitor who will accompany you in another individual boat.

As the participant guides the boat, the level of difficulty of the activity is medium (+14 years).

As in rafting, fun is guaranteed in this sport. Along the way there are different rapids in which coordination with your partner will be essential to overcome the obstacles of the river.

At the beginning of the activity, the guide will give some basic notions to know how to act in the river. No previous experience is required.

The activity runs in the Cuevas Bajas river stretch, the same stretch of family rafting.

Canoraft - kayak in calm waters (Cuevas Bajas section):

VIA FERRATA ARCHIDONA
climb to the top
Archidona (Malaga)

The Via Ferrata in the Sierra de Gracia in Archidona (Málaga) is located half an hour from Malaga and one hour from Granada.

This via ferrata has no problem areas or large drops. At the end of the road there is a TIBETAN BRIDGE 25-30 meters long. The total slope is approximately 100 meters.

From this Via Ferrata you can see different panoramic views such as the old town of Archidona, the Peñón de los Enamorados and the Vega Antequerana. This Via Ferrata ends at the Hermitage of the Virgen de Gracia from the 9th and 10th centuries of Arab origin and later Christianized located on the top of Cerro de Gracia, considered a Site of Cultural Interest, there you can also see remains of the old Arab town that next to her stood.

Vivimos por y para la naturaleza

Los Cahorros are located within the Sierra Nevada Natural Park in the municipality of Monachil.
The meeting point will be in the free car park of the same name, 8 km by car from Granada capital.
The route of this route runs within the ravine of the Monachil River which goes up as it narrows. On the way we cross the well-known Cueva de Las Palomas to then reach the esplanade of La Sabina where the route will end, changing direction & returning again to the meeting point.

Duration: The duration will be 2 hours approx. The route is circular, about 10 km & a drop of 150 meters.

Level: The level for participants are LOW, everyone being able to carry out the activity, no experience and with a low physical condition, recommended minimum age of 8 years. Minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.

Material: Clients will have to wear suitable footwear for a mountain route, boots or trekking shoes essential. The appropriate clothing would be a t-shirt & comfortable pants, a waterproof jacket & a thermal fleece. It is advisable to bring elements that protect us from the sun, such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, etc. We recommend bringing water & food (sandwich, fruit and/or nuts).
