Fuengirola Walking Tours

Fuengirola Walking Tours 2024 is going to be our year! We'll soon be offering tours of Fuengirola, so watch this space! Fuengirola is not just sunshine, the beach and bars you know.

It was the first city in the world to declare itself an open air art gallery and since then it has more than lived up to its claim with over 60 pieces of public art, sculpture and monuments. Whether you’re a visitor or a long term resident, if you’re looking for a change of pace join us as we explore the town with an English speaking guide. With Fuengirola Walking Tours you’ll discover art you never knew was there, learn a touch of history and get some fresh air and sunshine to boot.

In case you missed it, the council is pushing ahead with the building of the new tourist centre on the Plaza Teresa Zabell.
If you don't know who Teresa is, once the tours start, join us for the Old Town Art & History Tour and we'll tell you all about her.

I know we've been a bit quiet the last couple of months but we're still waiting for the government registration.
Everything is ready to go and once we've got the registration, we'll be inviting you to join us for a stroll around the town.
Don't give up on us yet!

If you have qualifications you need to get recognised, you've got until the end of October to do it. Even if you don't think you'll need it, it's worth getting done just in case.

Those of you that still have a UK driving licence will have been pleased to see the news that the Spanish Government announced that UK driving licences will be valid until the end of October. What you may not have noticed is that the current procedure for recognising UK qualifications in Spain has also been extended to that date.

For most of us there is no need to have our UK degree qualifications officially recognised. But there are some who do, for example if you want to enrol for further study in Spain or those who work in a regulated profession.

The procedure for recognising foreign qualifications in Spain is known as homologación. It is carried out by the Spanish Ministry of Education. Until 31 October the process will be exempt from the requirement of what is known as the “Hague Apostille”. After that you will need to get your degree validated and then legalised with the Hague Apostille, which is a more complicated process. Therefore, if you think that at some point in the future you may need official recognition of your qualifications, we would recommend you do it now.

You can find out more about the process here:

It's been a few weeks since I've added a pic so here's your Monday 'where is it?' post.
Since the Brits are still trapped in the UK, we're still refining the tour routes and have had to delay appointing the tour guides 😭.
I hope you all have a lovely week in the sunshine, summer is definitely on its way! 🌞

Danny from and I went on a trial walk of a few of the routes last Monday.
I'm going to change the name of the uninspiring walk as I've decided that it's too good to be called uninspiring.
Still puzzled why there are holes in the bull's head and testicles though!

Thanks to everyone who has applied so far. I haven't had a chance to look at the applications yet so I'm going to give everyone until this Friday (28 May) to get your applications in and I'll look at them over the weekend.
Cheers.
