— Sound and yoga retreat —

Ida and Marieke will come to El Moro to explore the benefits of yoga and sound. Their intention is to restore and replenish together as well as enliven throughsound and song! It will be a gentle yet deep retreat, guided with their therapeutic expertise and healing sounds.
Marieke, a medical doctor and yogini will guide afternoon restorative and yoga nidra sessions and invites you into deep states of relaxation, resting back into your true nature. Ida, a psychologist, yogini and musician will enliven the retreat with her soulful voice and encourage you to explore your own.
Expect vinyasa yoga, pranayama and meditation for the morning, restorative yoga, yoga nidra for the afternoon, individual yoga therapy sessions (on demand), live music, sound baths, chanting and kirtan.

This retreat is really for all bodies and all levels of practice.

Nick and Hermione (aka Mum and Dad), have taken up residence in Las Tapias, a short drive away from Finca el Moro. Apparently Dad always used to get a farm animal in his Christmas stocking to add to his play farm.

I guess his dreams are coming true! 25 cows, a bull, 40 pigs, 25 sheep, 10 chickens and Billy and Maude, the geese. Their version of ‘retirement’! I’ve never met anyone with so much energy and vision. I hope I grow up to be like them some day.

Nick et Hermione (alias Maman et Papa) ont élu domicile à Las Tapias, à quelques kilomètres de Finca el Moro. Apparemment, Papa avait l’habitude de recevoir pour chaque noël un animal de ferme sous le sapin pour l’ajouter à sa ferme de jeu.

J’imagine que ses rêves d’enfant sont devenus réalités ! 25 vaches, un taureau, 40 cochons, 25 moutons, 10 poules ainsi que Billy et Maude, les oies. Leur vision de la “retraite” ! Je n’ai jamais rencontré des personnes avec autant d’énergie et d’enthousiasme. J’espère devenir comme eux un jour.

Mima et son activité préférée en hiver. Les animaux ne sont pas vraiment autorisés à l’intérieur, mais allez dire à un chat quoi faire. Nous le permettons seulement parce qu’elle fait du bon travail pour éloigner les souris !

Practice alongside the physical.
Each morning Charlotte will guide you through a flow, pranayama and meditation class after which the day will be spent relaxing by the pool, walking and embracing the slow pace of life.
Late afternoon we’ll gather once more for a Restorative or Yin and meditation practice.
Moments for further study and conversation will be sprinkled throughout the week.

No rest for the wicked. Skiing the deep Japow in Nosawa-Onsen by day, working on the website by night.

I can’t say tech is my fort-e but I did win a price for ‘Determination’ at pony club camp when I was 10.

Hopefully I’ve pressed the right buttons and you can now see what we offer on our Guided E-Bike Holidays. But just in case I haven’t here is a brief description of what you can expect:
- 6 nights accommodation in one of our Andaluz cottages
- 30-60km daily guided bike rides stopping for lunch at a local village
- Full board, from tree to table, using our organic homegrown produce
- Group transfer to and from Seville
- Option to combine with Yoga classes, massage therapies and horse riding

Quand on aime on ne compte pas ! Ridant la poudreuse à Nosawa-Onsen (🇯🇵) le jour, travaillant sur le site web la nuit.

Je ne peux pas dire que la technologie soit mon fort, mais j’ai remporté une médaille pour ma « Détermination » au poney club à l’âge de 10 ans !

We got exciting news for 2024 !
Introducing…. E-bike holidays at Finca el Moro
We’ve added a new string to our bow and his name is Eliott!
We’ve spent the autumn converting one of the stables into a very smart Bike Workshop and we’ve filled it with very smart e-bikes.
Next season Eliott will be guiding our guests through the Sierra on bike back. Using the same secret mule runs Mum and Dad took their visitors on originally, we’ve come up with a pretty special holiday using Finca el Moro as our base. All the information is on the website! Nous avons ajouté une corde à notre arc et son nom est Eliott !
Nous avons passé l’automne à transformer l’une des écuries en un atelier de vélos fonctionnel et l’avons rempli de vélos électriques dernière génération. La saison prochaine, Eliott guidera nos invités à travers la Sierra à vélo. En utilisant les mêmes sentiers secrets que Nick et Hermione empruntaient à l’origine avec leurs visiteurs, nous avons créé des vacances sur mesures en utilisant Finca el Moro comme base. Our Story

1973 JUST BEFORE FRANCO DIED WHEN SPAIN WAS A VERY DIFFERENT COUNTRY HERMIONE, AGED 17, SPENT A YEAR IN SEVILLE. IN JUNE AT PENTECOST SHE JOINED THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ON HORSEBACK AND IN BULLOCK CARTS MAKING THE 3 DAY PILGRIMAGE TO THE VIRGEN DEL ROCIO IN THE WILD SALT MARSHES OF THE COTO DOÑANA. IT WAS TO MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION.

IN 1979 SHE MET NICK AND THEY SPENT THE NEXT 10 YEARS WORKING IN AFRICA AND THE HIGHLANDS OF SCOTLAND BUT ALWAYS SHE DREAMT OF RETURNING TO ANDALUCIA AND EL ROCIO.

FINALLY THEY SOLD UP, PACKED THEIR BELONGINGS INTO AN OLD LANDROVER, AND SET OFF TO SPAIN TO FIND A FARM AND MAKE A LIFE.

30 YEARS LATER THEY ARE STILL AT FINCA EL MORO, THE HILL FARM 3 KMS DOWN A ROUGH TRACK THEY FIRST FOUND IN ANDALUCIA.
