Unfortunately Snickers is available again through no fault of his own. Absolutely gorgeous boy, can go to the UK in 4 weeks (he’s already booked on transport for 14/10!)
Socialised with people, cats & lots of dogs. Very sweet natured. Will be a a solid medium size.
Adoption fee €90 (includes vacc, chip & passport) plus transport is around €450.

Lovely evening spent with our Villa Hermosa Colina guests, socialising our 6 foster dogs. As you can see it went well!
We work hard to make sure our foster dogs are socialised with all ages and as many situations as possible. We really know the dogs and can ensure they go to the most suitable families.

(This family adopted a puppy from us last year) They would love to have another but have 4 dogs between them already) However they have set up a monthly bank transfer to help with our costs. And will be sharing the latest “batch” with everyone. Thank you soooooo much! ❤️

Tomorrow is a big day for skippy, she’s off to have what’s left of her back legs evened and the bones rounded plus possibly skin graft. We are excited & nervous in equal measures. Once healed the training for her wheels starts. Massive thanks to Paula Rogers for fundraising to cover her costs, makes a huge difference for us and SOS Animales Cantalobos - Salobrena.
This afternoon Skippy had a relaxing bath with essential oils to calm her before the big day!

Well we started our mum & puppy kennel today, unfortunately we have only to date raised enough money for the materials, so 3 of us today started & finished digging out & pruning the area preparing it for the concrete slab…. 3 of us with a combined age of nearly 200! It was hard but a day well spent! We will be doing the slab next week.

We have a returning guest (she came before with family) she has requested booking 1 room rather than the whole villa for an anniversary holiday with her husband. We have happily agreed, so we have 2 double/twin en-suite rooms available for 18-25th May 2024. This is the first time we have done this, though have talked about it since we moved to Spain.

So if you’ve been before or have wanted to but don’t need a 5 bedroom villa, then this is the opportunity!

You’ll be sharing the space with a maximum of 6 adults, there’s our beautiful salt pool, hot tub and lots of sun beds. Plus you can book meals, massages or join yoga class by the eco pool (additional cost)

Minimum of 4 nights price €110-€130 per night (based on twin occupancy)

As our guests know we have made a commitment to rescuing dozens of dogs and cats since we arrived in Spain 5 years ago (6 adults dogs & 33 puppies & 30+ kittens).
Our most recent foster is as lots of you know as you sent donations for her is Madam Sookie and 3 gorgeous puppies.
We are working with her to prepare her for a new home. She has blossomed into the most affectionate and loving girl you can imagine, learning to trust and love those around her.
She’s great with dogs and cats too.
She’s less than 2 years old.
She’s calm in the house, can be left alone for short periods.
First 2 pictures tell you everything 😞
3rd picture reflects how far she’s come, and truly just the beginning.

We REALLY need your help to find Madam her new forever home. Please share, repost, speak to your friends and family. She can travel to UK etc, transport is around £450 to the UK.

“Morning clair, she has really settled in well. Such a lovely girl and we are so happy she fits into our family so well. Jasper loves her and she’s loves him. She has a crate she takes herself backwards and forwards from. I honestly couldn’t wish for a better puppy. I hope you are not missing her to bad. Thanks again Johnny”

There are 3 siblings still available. Don’t just take my word for how fantastic they are!

Terrible fire last night. The shelter we support was evacuated (Cantelobos), having to leave over 200 dogs alone. They must have been terrified. It was a very close call. As you can see from the pictures. We’re back in now. Dogs all physically ok, but obviously distressed. 😔 If anyone wants to send a donation so we can get the dogs some treats our PayPal is [email protected]

Here I go again….. We are fostering this beautiful girl Madam Sookie. She was rescued from the streets in a terrible state 3 weeks ago by Saskia van Diesen. 3 days later she gave birth to 3 puppies (girls) which is when she came to us. We put her in the Villa Hermosa Colina family room which has access to a private courtyard. She was angry & afraid, we were using a broom at times to get into the room, even to get food into the room. After a few days with not much improvement I took a different tackI sat on the floor of the bedroom door, with back to her, & slowly over a several hours just reversed into the room a few inches at a time, I had treats which I held in my hand behind me. Madam was not happy, I didn’t turn round but could hear her displeasure in no uncertain times, but I kept going until I was in the puppies fenced space & next to their bed. She slowly stopped the barking and bloody curdling growling & allowed me to sit next to her & them (as long as I didn’t look at her!) So I sat for sometime further, and continued giving her treats, gradually touching her face as I did so. I can’t put into words the relief & happiness I felt in these moments. ❤️ (probably not as relieved as Doug Wilson who was watching at a distance in case with broom in hand!) Fast forward, it took another week of patience from Doug & I to never have any barking or aggression. 3rd week, introduced to all the other animals (12 of them) No issues, particularly with the cats she loves them. The plan this week is to move her & the pups up to our small finca so get her fully integrated. She is now the most affectionate dog we have had here. She’s wary of strangers but once sees they’re welcome is fine. You can see how thin she is. The pictures are recent, and taken after she’s gained nearly 2 kgs! We are now giving her a high end puppy food, plus meat, eggs, sweet potato and bone broth to get weight on her. In addition a special protein powder which works out at €

Same day checkout & checkin which is always crazy enough, but yesterday we built a shade for the villa balcony in between guests! Great team effort.

We had the absolute pleasure to provide a 4 course surprise birthday dinner for our guests last week at the eco pool. We couldn’t have cooked for a lovelier family. Such a pleasure. Gazpacho Sea food paella Meat paella Water melon jelly with homemade vanilla & raspberry jelly. Today was our first day off in around 6 weeks after hundreds of hours of cleaning & repainting due to the Sahara storms. So we went out on an early dog walk & found these 3 dumped kittens. The day off ended then, as now have 3 hungry and distraught kittens needing bottle feeding & constant attention. They will be available for adoption.
