Shazdeh Mahan Garden meaning the Prince`s Garden in Mahan is a historical Persian garden located near Mahan in Kerman province, Iran. The garden is 5.5 hectares with a rectangular shape and a wall around it.

3000 years ago, in what is now Iran, a type of underground aqueduct called a qanat was engineered to transport water over long distances to farms and villages that couldn’t exist without it in the hot dry climates

The holes supplied oxygen to workers who dug the aqueduct by hand over many miles

Ezmighan village is popular amongst tourists for it’s weirdly interesting climate! Here you can see rice paddy fields and date palms beside them. In no region these two can’t be seen at the same time and next to each other!
Walking along the river to reach the pools, seeing the citrus orchards and the palm trees together with the smell of rice and the song of birds is an extraordinary experience.
This village is exemplary in terms of plant diversity in Iran. In addition to dates and rice, citrus products and other fruits of each season are grown here as well.
Ezmighan is situated in a shallow valley, a mixture of the glory of indigenous architecture and amazing nature. Houses on one side of the village and gardens and farms on another side of it, have doubled the charm.
