It’s difficult to find the words to describe our first venture into the South African bush – an indescribable humbling and life changing fusion of extraordinary experiences, wildlife wonders, and deep connections.
Choosing a favourite moment seems impossible…
The adventure started when guests landed on a remote dirt strip in the heart of the wilderness. Waking up to rhinos beneath our tents and giraffes casually strolling by the pool in our unfenced camp became the norm. The ‘Out of Africa’ lodge, with the exquisite cuisine, genuine smiles and heartfelt hospitality of the staff, took us back to a time of a bygone era. And the incredible wildlife encounters left us speechless…
Around the firepit under the starlit sky our local South African friends joined us, sharing jaw-dropping stories about their extraordinary lives in the bush. The elusive black rhinos unexpectedly joining our yoga class, the vast wild landscapes, and thrilling off-road pursuits – each day felt like pure magic. 🦓🌅
Yet, this retreat was more than personal experiences; it was about impactful contributions to conservation. 🌿 Our non-profit journey facilitated fundraising and connections with courageous conservationists on the frontlines, and the heartfelt interactions with these dedicated individuals, left us profoundly moved. 🦏✨ Handing over the joint donation was a privileged moment, transforming our retreat into a purposeful adventure.
