ained one double bedroom Rico's Retreat situated in a quiet rural location with breathtaking views. The accommodation is fully equipped, and totally self contained, with its own private access, and has a fully equipped open plan kitchen and lounge, double bedroom, with built in wardrobes, plus bathroom with shower and his and hers wash basins. We also have a small seperate campsite for motorhomes which has six places available, with facilities including electric hook up, fresh water, grey and black waste disposal, plus toilets and a shower and washing machine. Please check availability prior to arrival, as during the summer months some facilities may not be available. Set in a quiet rural location with great views, ideal for those wanting to escape the rat race. This area of Spain enjoys warm virtually rain free winters making it an ideal destination in November, December, January or February. It is also good for road cycling, mountain biking or walking/hiking and yet only a 10 minute drive to the local village of Almendricos which has a 24 hour medical centre, a few bars and two supermarkets. Or just 15 minutes over the mountains to the town of Puerto Lumbreras, which is situated just off the A7 Autovia Mediterraneo, which has all the shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants required, and if you want the coast we are only half an hour to the beautiful beaches of Costa Calida (the warm coast) and the traditional Spanish seaside towns of Aguilas with its fishing port and marina, and numerous blue flag beaches and secluded coves. San Juan De Los Terreros just over the border into Andalucia is a must visit with its long promenade, golden beaches and chiringuitos. For those of you wanting a some history then the major towns of Lorca or Cartagena are an easy drive away, and perfect places to spend a day sightseeing, with their castles and museums and old towns. The accommodation is fully self contained, and you can come and go as you please, and you also have access to the large secure gardens surrounding the villa, plus use of the swimming pool in season. If staying in for the day then you can enjoy lounging around in the peace and quiet in the sun by the pool, and enjoying the fabulous views of the surrounding mountains. Please note we live full time at our Villa in Spain, in Murcia, which is situated in an agricultural region and is therefore surrounded by farming activities, and fields growing a variety of produce, mainly oranges but with some livestock although not nearby. Own transport is advisable or Jeff can offer a pick up and drop off service from the airports, train stations etc and for day trips, so ideal if you are backpacking around Spain or Europe or do not wish to use your hire car.
