An ancient, hard and totally natural process that will them preserve all the good properties of the muscat grape.

Last week we had a great time.
was hired to coordinate a in the Huesca Pyrenees, organized by , and the other 5 Rural Development Groups in the inland regions of Malaga.

45 participants, lots of appointments with local companies, great examples of rural entrepreneurship, beautiful landscape and a lot of inspiration back to Málaga.

A little bit tired, but very happy.

What a great region to discover, , with the national park , the geopark and some beautiful villages such as .

Yes, we are ready to travel to other parts of Spain once in a while😁😎.

Some repeat customers from last year had already pre-booked, so when sales opened, places filled up in less than 24 hours.

👉We still have places available for the premium tour on Wednesday 27th, which I must tell you is just as exciting as the one on Friday. True, without the legion, but in exchange we will also see a street procession and listen to a (before going to our private balconies).

And for those who don’t want so much hustle and bustle, I recommend the morning tour, where you can see some of the thrones that will be paraded in the procession in the evening, and taste the famous “ajobacalao veleño” at our favorite restaurant, .

Today is a day that I am happy to celebrate.
My day.
My colleagues’ day.
I am so happy and lucky to be able to enjoy my job so much.
But being an official tourist guide is not as easy as it looks.
You need to have a license, that you get with different studies (in my case I studied Tourism at University), and you need to have a good official level of 2 extra languages (in my case C1 in english and B2 in german).
But more that that… you have to keep studying and preparing new tours/products/monuments… for the rest of your working life🤓.
These pictures show some of the trainings that we have been doing the past months.
The great luck that I have is to belong to this great guides’ association, .malagacultural , where we collaborate and help each other. Amazing group… amazing friends ❤️

El proyecto se centra en reflexionar sobre los ámbitos de la vida de las personas jóvenes más afectados por la pandemia de COVID-19.

El 30 de enero se presentarán en Liubliana (Eslovenia) las investigaciones llevadas a cabo en los países participantes en el proyecto, con el objetivo de elaborar un Manual de metodologías / Respuestas estratégicas frente a posibles crisis.

En la investigación se exploran a fondo los aspectos fundamentales que requieren atención urgente y se proponen una serie de medidas y buenas prácticas que podrían guiar a España hacia una senda de recuperación y prosperidad, asegurando no sólo la salud pública, sino también el bienestar y el futuro de las generaciones venideras.

I have been selected to develop a project of training and dissemination of the Andalusian Heritage of La Axarquía.
Time to read and investigate a lot to sort out the most relevant information and prepare the trainings and the outings to visit the different treasures).

We will keep you informed as we will be holding some talks (and maybe outings also) for the general public. Others will be for official guides and tourist companies.

Waking up at 06.15h on a Sunday is not that bad if you have a great group to do the .

Very good months now, with less people around and about 15 degrees, what is a great temperature to hike.

We have our own equipment of whispers, so that it is easier to enjoy the views while listening to the guide🤩.

One more year, we have just received this delicious Roscón de Reyes from El Mastrén Pan Ecológico , thank you!❤️

👉You may already know that this is a typical sweet that 99% of Spaniards eat on January 6th (or before...hahaha).

👉It seems that its origin is in ancient Rome, and it was introduced in Spain by Felipe V (19th century).

👉The original is this one😋, without any filling. But since the end of the 20th century varieties have been prepared with cream, custard or chocolate cream inside.

👉It usually contains a 'surprise' or hidden figurine🪆(symbol of fortune🤩) and a bean 🫘, which everyone waits to see who gets them in their portion.

👉Depending on the place, the bean can designate you as the king of the party 👑 or make you pay for the roscón😄.

So, if you haven’t tried it yet, today and tomorrow all the local bakeries (and even some supermarkets) will be serving them.
(And yes, you should try it😋😉).

Well…
This has been our last tour of the year, again a perfect experience in Aceite Periana, where we already feel like at home.

Such a nice and big family (three generations ❤️) spending a great holiday at B bou Iconic Hotels and wanting to explore the region.

The grandchildren have learnt how the old mild worked to crash the olives. For sure that they will remember 😁.

Due to requests from several clients who could not join the last tour, we launched two more dates to discover the interesting world of the local .

Tour of 3 hours, without transport included, in which we will visit the cooperative of Periana to learn about its history and the production process of the liquid gold, enjoying a miller breakfast with tasting of several varieties of their olive oil 🥖, and visiting an olive grove to learn other secrets.

Great views of from some of its peri-urban mountains, that are not very well know.

Málaga province is full of hiking possibilities.
Some hikes are ok to enjoy without a guide, but for some of them we always recommend you to go with someone that is prepared, knows the area and has a license. Some hikes also require a special insurance.

We have enjoyed a very nice tour today, at the other side of Málaga, discovering a citrus farm with more than 38 different varieties (have you ever heard about the chocolate orange?).
The valley is known since ancient times as the Valley of the Orange Blossom for its immense citrus orchards along the entire valley of the Guadalhorce River🍊🍋.

The owner, know as , is a very special farmer that for sure will male the visit very entertaining 😁.

We also visited a local winery and tasted some wines followed by some tapas.
Yes! We know how to finish a tour😎.

Great morning enjoying a special guided tour in Torre del Mar, Caleta de Vélez and Vélez-Málaga.

👉With students of tourism degrees, some of them future guides, an other probably future Reception staff. So very important that they get to know our patrimony.

👉Using the new bus service from , with two floors and open roof.

👉Visiting also harbour, being able to see some of the ‘rederos’ at work and the new little fishing interpretive center.
